Baraka was always my favorite character just because he looks so gnarly and I always hope that one day he would be good or be more important in the story in a good way and honestly a lot of the Mortal Kombat one designs or to make them look younger or something like that so usually I like older ones better but MK one baraka might be my favorite
@@alexstark7620 That is true. However, I would make the slight argument that Baraka was a bigger Jobber than Reptile. But only by a little. The big reason as to why is because of two reasons. One, is their motive. Reptile was more of a tragic figure as he was forced into becoming a servant. Thanks to a curse that Shao Kahn placed on Reptile, the Reptilian Ninja was forced to serve anyone. If he did, then he would devolve into a mindless creature. Plus the fact that if there was the slightest chance that his race could've been revived, Reptile had no choice but to serve. Baraka on the other hand, does have that kind of tragedy. He was just a minion of Shao Kahn and was deemed to be the strongest of the Tarkatans. But, seeing how he never had an onscreen victory at any point of the MK games, exclusive MK1, it must've mean that the Tarkatans were pathetic. And the second reason as to why I think Baraka was a slightly bigger Jobber is his death. Baraka has been shown to be killed off several times in various timelines, and in virtual every one that happens, it's usually Baraka who's the first one to die. Like in the Battle of Armageddon, Baraka's corpse is seen in an area far from the Pyramid where Blaze was waiting, while Reptile was nearer, if not climbing the pyramid before he was killed. In Scorpion's Revenge, Baraka was shown to get killed off first in Shao Kahn's forces, where he lost to Johnny Cage, who wasn't even fighting him. Reptile on the other hand, was actually fighting Sonya, who was giving it her all to beat and kill him. And in Timeline 2, Baraka was killed off by D'Vorah in MKX, while Reptile survived in that game, but was killed off offscreen in MK11.
It took so long for it to happen, but, thanks to Mortal Kombat 1, Baraka had finally stopped being the Jobber of Mortal Kombat.
