i havent been in the scene much at all but havin experienced them a few times i feel like their shows exemplify the best of punk, a solid loving safe zone for expression and passion and truth and rawness. and oddly what christianity should feel like. their friend from Listener has his song Wooden Heart that makes me think of this all the time
Every time I come back to this video my heart swells and dies a little at the same time. This group of men truly created a revolution and every show they played was a testament to those who joined it. It was an honour to experience this kind of performance first hand, Long live.
I must have seen this band at least 3 times, I remember going to a bands farewell show and the chariot played before them. once the chariot was done my hunger was sated, they absolutely killed it each and every single time. needless to say i left once they were done.
***** No doubt, even if the music is jarring to you (not personally), their stage presence is absolutely legendary. Pure chaos, the entire scene is a stage for them. I remember them playing on the bar and hopping off ledges in Pitt. Such a good time!
It's 2020, I'm sitting in quarantine and just revisting The Chariot, feeling things I haven't felt in years. Togetherness. Love for your fellow man. The unmistakable aura of feeling like you belonged to something, even if that thing is gone. There will never be another band like The Chariot ever again, and it fills my heart with somber joy knowing I was alive to experience them. Long Live.
Long live stranger. The chariot was more then a band, it was a soul, it was a greater conscious that we could all tap into and you know what? It's not over. It will never be over. As long as we will live, that battle will continue.
I really wish i could have seen these guys live. I have only heard legends of GG alin levels of hype in concerts. And every video I have ever seen. nothing looks quite like this.
2021 and were still here, for those still listening, keep up the good fight, be kind to another, help each other out. and if they fall in the pit, pick em up! "If I leave this earth tonight may it be said that I spoke my peace"
Seeing Norma Jean when Josh was still with the band was amazing. I had tickets to see the Chariot in Charlotte once, and the following morning got notified I was deploying in 4 weeks. Life is a cruel mistress.
How is that at 51, I get extremely emotional to watch these guys on video absolutely destroy it with so much heart and passion. I never got to see them and only really started listening to them a year or 2 ago. Man I missed something good. I hope to 68’ before they are no longer here.
@@seanzawko09 i think ive seen your comments on Norma Jean live video, man, its great that you can feel these emotions and enjoy the music, in time some just losing the ability to feel it
I’ve been going to hardcore/punk/metal shows for 25 years now, to this day the craziest set I’ve seen live is the chariot, of you never had the privilege of attending a chariot show, you missed out, it’s amazing.
i count myself one of the lucky ones, they are missed, nothin like that energy. i saw them and Norma Jean a couple times at Soulfest in NH many years ago now. so epic
This is like one of the best songs i 've ever listen to. The music, the screams, the lyrics.. So intense,so fuckiiing goood. Like it's coming from the depts of their hearts. It touches me every time. Long live.
this album is amazing. the passion in each of these songs is so intense. This joint right here gives me chills every time that chorus comes in. Thanks fellas.
If there was a song to unite humanity, this would be it. They can take away one man, and they can take away his mic, But they cannot take us all. Long live.
by far the best stage performance ive ever seen. the chariot is one of my top 3 favorite bands. even tho I will never get to see them perform (frown). whn is the reunion tour? come to richmond!! one more summer one last time for old time sake
this song got me the hell out of depression! the words are so powerful and it just touches my heart. been a fan for years and they always get better and better!
Its 2021 and after the Astroworld shit show I was reminded of a time where I was surrounded by total chaos and yet completely okay at the same time. This brings back so many good memories.
I'm shocked that there's 62 comments and not a single one mentions Jesus. "I spoke with the wrath of His grace." You're all mistaking his pride for his relationship with God with anger. "Oh we stand hand in hand and we walk without fear. This is a revolution!" Amen brother!
I FREAKING LOVE THE CHARIOT! This song speaks to my soul. I'll eventually be getting the last verse tattooed on me. I'm thinking on the ribs. Seriously, if you haven't seen the Chariot live - do yourself a favor and see them.
Saw these guys for the first time a couple years ago at haste the days farewell tour. Was absolutely amazing. If you haven't seen these guys live, you haven't seen a show.
God damn it, those one take hardcore vocals at the edge of the most emotional intensity are making me cry. Love the guitar feedbacks. I guess i have to dive into Chariot more, than ever before.
I saw these guys in Gainesville then the next night in Orlando. It was so rad. Me and my roomate couldn't talk for three days after from shouting along.
One of the coolest things to note for those of you who never got to experience this band live: None of their sets were planned. None of the things they did were practiced or discussed. It just happened. They never said “hey let’s light the drums on fire” or “these guys are going to stand on this amp you all keep them up” as a matter of fact, they didn’t talk hardly at all during sets. So incredible
This song's from Long Live, which is a superb album and one of my all-time favorites. The Fiancee is fantastic. One Wing, their most recent release, is a work of art. Lots of different stuff in that one. I would reccomend listening to them in order of publication (Everything is Alive..., The Fiancee, Wars and Rumors of Wars, Long Live, and then One Wing.) You can check out the Unsung EP if you'd like, it has some newer versions of songs from Everything is Alive...
They should've have sold a tshirt at the end of each show saying "I survived a The Chariot's set."
Laughs in Dillinger .
Lmao that's good
I wish I still had my "my other car is a the chariot" sticker
They should've given the venues signs saying "We survived a The Chariot's set"
BEARCLAW
I'll be chasing this feeling for the rest of my days. Nothing like them. Long live.
its raw, its clumsy, its violent, its sloppy, its on fire. Its the chariot
Couldn’t of been said better 🤘
I don't think it is clumsy nor sloppy... I would say it is raw, violent, erratic, chaotic, beautiful
FUCKIN A. It's The Chariot. I miss this band, thier shows were the best.
i havent been in the scene much at all but havin experienced them a few times i feel like their shows exemplify the best of punk, a solid loving safe zone for expression and passion and truth and rawness. and oddly what christianity should feel like. their friend from Listener has his song Wooden Heart that makes me think of this all the time
Beautiful words

They where one of the biggest influences on me musically and stage presence wise.
*****

we will never have this again
Long Live the Chariot

me too man, me too... :c
I really wish i could have seen these guys live. I have only heard legends of GG alin levels of hype in concerts. And every video I have ever seen. nothing looks quite like this.
Came here to say what you already did.
2021 and were still here, for those still listening, keep up the good fight, be kind to another, help each other out. and if they fall in the pit, pick em up!
"If I leave this earth tonight may it be said that I spoke my peace"
a live chariot show looks like a biblical experience
lmfao
it is, dude
It was.
Seriously missing this awesome band.
Seeing Norma Jean when Josh was still with the band was amazing. I had tickets to see the Chariot in Charlotte once, and the following morning got notified I was deploying in 4 weeks. Life is a cruel mistress.
It's nothing less than.
If you're not singing along at the end of the song, you have no heart
Fuck man, i am cry in the end of this song...)))

I was taken to one of their shows without knowing anything about them. My mind was blown. Still the best show I've ever been to.
Grand Rapids October 24, 2013 was the last time I got to see this amazing band. I'll never forget a single time I did.
Long Live

the world needs this band more than ever.
Some will never know the feeling of a chariot show
loo nacy don’t even mention it
I was today years old when I found out about this band. God Damn it.
Best live band and no one even comes close still in 2022!
Hello my old friend , I still have so much love to you . Brings tears to my eyes every time such great therapy.
Thankyou
This is like one of the best songs i 've ever listen to. The music, the screams, the lyrics.. So intense,so fuckiiing goood. Like it's coming from the depts of their hearts. It touches me every time. Long live.
I was at the Douglasville GA show and it's still the best experience of my life
The coolest band that I've ever seen live there stage presence is remarkable
Heck Yeah! Sad on many levels that they're done!
More people need to know this band, it’s just a shame that they won’t be able to experience them live.
I remember that time and I really miss that. And so proud about I took a part of that on the live show in Russia. Long live
Saw them the other day. At the end with that singing part, as many people as could fit jumped on stage. Best show ever.
There’s a desperation in his screams that is so beautiful and human and reaches for something so spiritual.
I love how there is no hate in these comments. No hate for the Chariot, no matter what type of music you like. They are too good.
this album is amazing. the passion in each of these songs is so intense. This joint right here gives me chills every time that chorus comes in. Thanks fellas.
This band just popped in head and this was an awesome nostalgic video. Just awesome, remember your roots
Calm rose: come violent wind
I only just found ‘68, and only found this shortly thereafter. Can’t believe I missed this, so fucking sick.
Douglasville in three days. There will literally be sobs during this song.
One of the best songs ever written.
Still here 2022 and forever long live The Chariot
.. We can't hope that somebody else takes our place..
THIS IS A REVOLUTION!
-THE CHARIOT (FREEDOM)
R.I.P. best live show i never seen!
greatest band I've ever seen live. nothing compares.
If there was a song to unite humanity, this would be it.
They can take away one man, and they can take away his mic,
But they cannot take us all.
Long live.

...raw wild love! ❣️
Not a day goes by where I don’t miss this band...
This is so good. So. So. Soooooooo good
this song got me the hell out of depression! the words are so powerful and it just touches my heart. been a fan for years and they always get better and better!
I really miss them in 2019 :(
Looks like a barrel of fun!! :3
This makes me cry every time
I'm pretty sure this song wins music.
I get chills every time I hear this song. It's friggin' astounding.

This song speaks to my soul. I'll eventually be getting the last verse tattooed on me. I'm thinking on the ribs. Seriously, if you haven't seen the Chariot live - do yourself a favor and see them.
Most dangerous group of the nicest dudes ever
I wish I had an opportunity to visit their show live ;( The best band ever.
Saw them in sweden some months ago, best concert in my entire life.
Saw these guys for the first time a couple years ago at haste the days farewell tour. Was absolutely amazing. If you haven't seen these guys live, you haven't seen a show.

One of the last bands that were actually rock and roll
Amazing video. LONG LIVE '68

I could watch these guys every night.
PLease come back!
I saw these guys in Gainesville then the next night in Orlando. It was so rad. Me and my roomate couldn't talk for three days after from shouting along.

I don't understand why someone wouldn't like this? It is mayhem, and I love it.
Beautiful 🔥
I missed their last-LAST show, fuuuuuuuuccckkkk
opened up for them at jaxx in MD. its bands like this that keep the music scene alive

Use to love seeing these guys at the 7venue in ga. So amazing. Apparently that venue shut down a while back. Sad stuff.
This is madness!
But I like it
I remember seeing them one year doing a tagteam set with the satire you never see tagteam sets anymore
Every moment of The Chariot was a Renaissance painting.
TIMELESS MASTERPIECE
3:05 gives me the chills. every. time.
this is my favourite music video
Its pure beauty.
Love this.
'68 is groovy but nothin will ever beat The Chariot, rare is the band that moves the whole space quite like they did
Best live band ever. Period.
i miss them, really miss them
Music: not my taste, Stage presence: AWESOME :D
I don't think I'll ever be able to appreciate a metal music video ever again after watching this... *sigh*. Is it even possible to be more brutal?
best live band in the history
best band* long live
It's so sad there is never gonna be a next town
The only band that can compete with D.E.P.'s live shows...
Sounds like a rock n' roll show but looks like a riot.
Long live The chariot!
I miss you, guys!
absolute legends
