What a FUN Cost effective Unit from Donner. Did NOT see this coming. Sounds & looks as you said. Elevated Jam Tracks with your cut on some Fine Licks worked for me & practice to them each day. Your getting GREAT at this TH-cam thing. Much Appreciated. Thanks Rich
Seriously tho, I'm rather impressed by this thing. I've had a love/hate relationship with digital modeling spanning the Zoom 505, Line 6 POD, MAudio Blackbox, and so on... Biasfx is honestly what turned me around, and what I mostly use to this day for song writing. I once owned an AXFX Ultra for a spell, but sold it in a pinch. That Orange Avid unit I spy back in your rack is also another "good" one, but damn... This sub $300 Donner?! What I wouldn't of gave to of had access to tones like that over a decade ago! All a kid needs these days is an old TECH21 Powerstage 60 or hell, even a BOSS Katana MKII 50 "power amp in", and they are off to the races! Great demo Rich. As Always. Cheers!
Go on Rich!!! Get them legs and feet up when using the looper!! At long last you’re the only guy I’ve seen after watching hundreds of reviews on multi effect units and when the reviewer demos the looper and the units on a desk they always say they’ll have to operate it with their hands, so I applaud you for getting your feet upto the desk, I would do this if I was reviewing, silly I know but makes more sense and I’d a laugh. Thanks for your review. Looks nice and sounds good for price.
Nice review. I caught the couple seconds of "Midnight Maniac." Haven't heard that in forever. Love the reference! Thanks for the info on this unit. I purchased one of these based on this and a couple of other reviews. I can honestly say that it's a great unit, even at a much higher price point than it sells for imo. I decided to try it out at a gig one night and ran it straight to the board. You do lose just a tad of the dynamics compared to a traditional physical cab and mic setup. But for me, it was barely noticeable and not enough to justify hauling my Marshall cab, head unit and my rack of effects. At 50 yrs old now, anything I can do to save the wear and tear on my hands, joints, etc.. hauling my rig around, lol. Happy I found some relief by purchasing this.
Thanks for a great review! I ordered one yesterday! My Boogie rig is in for service and I just need something to tide me over! I totally agree, for the features and the price? It’s a no brainer! I can’t wait to disable the cab sims and run it into my 395! That’s when it will really come to life! What an amazing little unit! Drum machine and looper too? Donner nailed it! Go get em! They’re £235 right now!
Looks like a killer little unit, Rich. It's absolutely amazing what some of these companies are coming up with these days. I'm also interested in looking at the Moore multi-effects units. Maybe the GE200. Nut yeah - these things are so cool, and what is available on the cheap is pretty unbelievable.
For playing small gigs, jamming with friends, and casual stuff, this is probably going to work just fine. Not too overly concerned with tone nuances. For studio work, no way. I will still go with tube amps and vintage gear. In the studio you hear EVEYTHING.
Some nice playing again Rich. The unit sounds good and easy to set up. So much cheaper than a lot of single pedals. Keep saying it but that Tele is one hell of a guitar.
According to the manual, the MIDI command PC and CC list is buried in the MIDI menu of the machine (not listed in the manual) - anyone have the list to show what can be controlled? Also, can IRs be imported, and what is the Arena 2000 Editor software like? Thanks for any info.
Wow sounds good, nice review. While I am so proud and happy with owning a new nearly $100 IR loader pedal.. and seeing this for just about $300 packed with these tones.. 😅 I should have saved more and got this instead.
I just emailed the Donner company. Asking for a tutorial video or better instructions regarding the functionality of the unit. The instruction manual is literally only 12 pages. I’ve also noticed that the unit is temperamental. Intermittently loses output, response, and I will have to power it down and power it back on.
Hi, you're an awesome musician. Does anyone know if it take any expression pedal, Like a crybaby in the expression plug? Can you bypass the amp modeling?
This georgiuos Thing is absolut Killer Donner is absolutly stunning this multieffektpedal feat the absolutly Stunning DJP-1000 Hollowbody Guitar ...is absolutly Entertaining and blow your Mind....🎸🎼🎵🎶🎵🎵🎶🎵🎤🎹
Great sounds in the GT1 as all Boss products, 108 effects in GT1, 138 effects in A2000, 80 Amp models in A2000, not as many in GT1, can load IR’s in A2000 and can save 50 of your own and it already has 50 IR’s built in, GT1 I don’t think you can load IR’s (I maybe wrong??), A2000 has 150presets you can save in 3 x banks 50, GT1 has 99 presets plus can save 99 user presets, GT1 has small and not the best screen, A2000 better colour and bigger screen, A2000 possible to edit much more parameters, GT1 limited parameter editing, A2000 metal housing, GT1 plastic housing, A2000 has jack and XLR outputs, GT1 only has jack outputs. That’s majority of information, I’m not gonna say which I best cos it’s entirely down to the individual and what suits their needs and what they are looking for in their setup cos everyone’s different and want different things, Boss GT1 sounds great and so does A2000.
Appreciate the unbiased approach to this review. VERY hard to find reviewers that don't pander to the manufacture.

This is a really good review. A quick scan of features and excellent playing to further the public's impression and curiosity. Good work 👽

I have tried a few of these modeling pedals and returned them all. This one though might be a keeper.
Arena 2000 sounds cool.. but that shirt stole the show!😮
I just came to your channel to hear your amazing performances!
Thanks for the great review, I'll probably buy this one for the ease of use thanks to you.
I only wish your sounds were default, thanks again 👍👍
Does it have drum machine and looper?
Great demo of how to dial in a good tone simply and quickly. Well done. And killer playing!
Thanks!

It's sounding good. But I would love a video with this against the line 6 helix to see how it stacks up against another more affordable modeler.
I see you've spent too long in the presence of Henning 🤣🤣 Cool shirt.
Just don't shave your head.

Killer review. Many thanks.
Wow, good job. Thank you..
As soon as I heard "The Outfield" I had to put this on my Xmas list!
Nice Rich! A friend of mine just demoed the one he just got as well.
This or NUX MG400?
This or the Nux MG30?
Donner arena 2000 and Nux mg 30 which is better?
Sounds good as the helix
How can activate the whammy effect???😢
I'm undecided between Donner Arena 2000 or Nux MG 30 (the price is the same for both)....which is better in terms of versatility and quality?
Enjoyed your review. I just purchased one. Could you please do a full tutorial video?

It's been good on my end. It's easy enough to use that I didn't need the manual.
@@TheDevlin252 ... how's your experience with Donner customer service ??
Alright! 🤩 a little Krocus 👍
Nice affordable unit.
Yes, cool shirt!😂
Vs line6 Pod Go ?
Midnight maniac🎉🎉🎉🎉

Hi, that Pedalboard has pitch shifter effects ?
Rich, did you ever review the Boss GT-1? If so, which would you recommend? The Boss or the Donner Arena 2000? Thanks in advance.
I never reviewed the Boss, so I don't know.
Spillover?
@rich bischoff great review! For the home hack guitarist, me lol can this be run into a guitar amp or say a home stereo unit? Thanks!
Sure
@@RichBischoff thanks @Rich Bischoff I really enjoy your channel
Sounds decent.
I'm torn between this and Valeton GP200. What should I choose?
Haven't used the Valeton, so I can't compare. Sorry.
Can you make it sound like the Rockman X100 Boston sounds?
I'm sure you can get close.
Hộp tiếng này nghe hay lắm 🤘

Yes
Henning HAD to of given you that shirt! Ha!
Just his contact at Mr gugu. 🤣
Does it chug ?
This or Nux mg30
Hows the latency when changing presets?
Seemed good.
@@RichBischoff Thank you...🥲

Can this be plugged into a traditional cab, like a 4x12 or 2x12?
Yes but you would need a power amp.
@@krumple4skin548 understood. Thank you
@@jamesrick7474 you could get one of those cheap harley benton power amp pedals to power the cab
Is it ok through just headphones?
Yes
What is the latency of the Arena 2000?
I'm not sure on actual numbers. But I couldn't feel or hear any latency. So probably minimal.
Should you plug in the front or the rear of a amp and how new to this
Brand new. You can run it into an fx loop or the front of the amp.
This sounds good, it also sounds complicated and a hassle to use. Pass. I would rather spend more money and trythe GX 100 by Boss.
Nope easy to use. You might need to be able to read and twist nobs though.
Vodeo - cool, pedal - not.
Nope pedal = cool as well
Please Rich Bischoff test this Effectpedal feat the brandnew Donner DJP-1000 Hollowbody Guitar it must be amazing and blow your Mind...🎸🎼🎶🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵‼️
