A person was stabbed in there. They are constantly shoplifted from with no repercussions. Philly has really went downhill.

because she like many corrupt beuarcrats have been paid to make room for a new high rise condo, no doubt owned by the same investors who forced through the sixters over stuff hall down the street, thi s needs to be investigated for corruption

As a family we used to go to Comcast center and Macy's during Christmas. And we would buy all of our presents at Macy's. Unfortunately everyone except for me. "As a former combat Marine" they were scared to go to downtown Philadelphia. .

CC is a residential neighborhood. Thousands of people live there.
      It's pretty safe.

The first sign of trouble was the difficulty in finding flat-front khakis out of a sea of pleated pants.

This is one of the finest (and in many movies) historic stores! The organ inside is the LARGEST playable organ in the world!!!!! The new company will (try) to destroy the organ (part it out) unfortunately!!!!!!!

The organ is the only important thing in that building.
The size of it makes it unique. Of course only musicians would appreciate that.

I spoke to someone (who knows the head of that company) and they may try to get rid of the organ!.

What will happen to the organ?

    • @OrganNLou
      @OrganNLou 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

The company plans to make the great hall into small spaces and this will ruin ANY chances that the organ will be used again! A bunch of offices (and the organ staff was all fired, so it wont be maintained).

i bet greyhound knew the basketball hall was going to get shoved through so that is why they shut down their station knowing they will be building a new station inside the new NBA hall

"Crime had nothing to do with the decision"? The problem with retail in Philly is that most of the population is looking for handouts vs making purchases.

I really think they should consider closing another store location over here in Philadelphia because that one would be a lot safer to keep open

    • @newagain9964

For those who reside in the City of Philadelphia and its northern and western suburbs, the Lehigh Valley, the State of Delaware and southern New Jersey:
    - There is another store that is closing that is on that list:
Macy’s Backstage Store - Located in the Essex Green Shopping Center, 495 Prospect Avenue, West Orange Township, Essex County, New Jersey, and is physically located about 20 miles west of New York City/Manhattan and about 90 miles northeast of Philadelphia Center/City.
    ☹️😓

Macys CITY CENTER is ICONIC and MUCH more important than ANY of their other stores!
