The Notturno is indeed one of his lesser works, nothing compared to his excellent Piano Quartets and Trios. The one I am working on right now, Larghetto and Variations, Op. 11, is quite stunning in its virtuosity, it must have sounded super modern to the ears of those days.

Wonderful!
This feels like an a early Schubert piece with a touch of John Field added for good measure ....Bliss
Very Beautiful!, I've never heard of this composer!, Excellent stuff!, Thank you for uploading this Bartje Bartmans!
The Prince had a certain sense to (or better to say a firm grip on) musical genres. Thank you!
Big honkin’ pieces of simple forms like this are often my thing.
It is obvious that the Prince had more talent for music than for military matters.
In some ornaments we feel a hint of Chopin!
Judging by the large intervals for any of his music written for piano, it seems like the Prince had quite large hands; almost like Weber's!
Omg
It's just so non-stop though. A little exhausting the listen to.

@@bartjebartmans I'm definitely surprised at the style for so early in the 19th century. He was definitely thinking in the cutting edge of the time.
To be a 1805 composition this piece is absolutely worth Beethoven "minor" works of the period. Seriously.
Wonderful nocturne.
More like transitional period from Classical to Romanticism.
Wonderful!
