Very cool! Interestingly I just finished watching a "Masterclass" with Herbie Hancock (I got a Masterclass subscription last year and Herbie's was one of the ones that was definitely worthwhile watching (especially if you play piano). Enjoying your review, as always!
Thanks Brad! I Don't have a musical bone in my body believe it or not (when it comes to playing instruments) but I would honestly buy that just to hear herbie hancock talk lol
@@TheFloydios For sure! It was one of the first ones I rushed to watch! By the way, although you might think you don't have a musical bone in your body, I bet you would surprise yourself. I think anyone who appreciates music as much as you do would have more success musically than you think. Keyboard/piano is so much fun to play :)
Great review! I highly recommend Temporal Analogues of Paradise by Jonas Hellborg. It's an hour long jazz fusion album split into two improvised equal parts, and it's crazy good! I think it is on progarchives but I will have to check
Thank you Sam!! That sounds really intriguing, I just wrote it on my list of recommendations. When I eventually get to it ill reply to give you my thoughts or if im blown away by it ill make a review
Finally got the end of the review, when you said were excited to listen to Thrust i perked up in my chair. His stretch of HH - Thrust - Man-Child, 3 albums in 3 years and all of them masterpieces, I can’t think of another stretch like it.
@@D33JxY Thanks for watching man! Since the review I have heard thrust and its awesome. I love all 4 tracks. I think I enjoy Headhunters a bit more but Thrust is still fantastic. Still gotta hear man child
TheFloydios having spent years upon years enjoying all 3, i cycle between which ones I love more. But headhunters was first for me and it’s influence on what I’d love gong forward always takes precedent. Look forward to you delving into more jazz/funk! Donald Byrd, Herbie, and Grover Washington are my 3 favorites. Give Grover a listen for the best sax on earth :-)
I got Chameleon bass line painted on the wall in my bedroom. Just to say how much I love it.
thats some next level dedication
