YES! This is a fantastic comparison, but both of these guys play so it makes it even more complicated. Just amazing music and they should definitely more pushed instead of the tripe we're getting forced to listen to as "music" nowadays.
This song is pure soul. I don’t know the back story but I would love to hear it. My goal is to meet the guys some day and beg for that bandanna as a souvenir
The chords aren't that sad but the lyrics are profoundly sad. Rethinking the chords & notes, it's as if the protagonist is trying to remain strong & tough but it's near the breaking point of losing it.
This is the first song I heard from them and it continues to blow me away.
These guys are literal genius. Legitimately one of the best songs of all time in my book.
This is one of the best songs of the past decade.
I can't explain why, but every time this song and performance just transports me to another plane emotionally
The songwriting, the lyrics, the performance here, their live musicianship - they're quite accomplished and sophisticated with what they do.
These guys deserve way more fame! Their harmonies & talent are beyond most musicians these days! They are like a modern day Simon & Garfunkel!
When I found them
years ago I was sure
they are going to be
really big. It's not fair .

They’re at least 3x better than Simon and Garfunkel.
Beautifully said.
Impossibly perfect.
This song encapsulates unexpected and terrifying betrayal and loss and hard decisions that are forced upon us by such things.
they deserve so much more, I have no words.
It is so rediculous that this band isn't more popular. Simply astonishing music!
Capturing and describing emotions most people can't bear to feel, with sweet guitar. Art.
I could hear this all day long
I heard this song more than 500 time
Very every good song
I'm a musician
Could there be more exquisite sounds in the world than these alloyed voices and guitars?
Thank you for this song as I leave Michigan for a funeral. We lost a friend far too young.
Kenneth's guitar is deeply singing.. 🥲

Calm down and just enjoy the music.
@@goodvibesvince looks like you're the one who needs to calm down. The OP was just making a comment.
Gillian and David are looking younger each year! I do love the Milk Carton Kids though...this song really gets me in the feels.
I thought the same thing. This kids really like Gillian and David....

Playing this song in the background while I give a speech at my grandpas funeral today..
They are so talented. More people should give them a chance.
Saw them live at a small venue in Jackson Hole, WY. They were so freaking good.
This is one their best live version of this song. So good

This is my go-to song for marking papers. One time I kept on marking and kept it playing 26 times on repeat.

Found out my Fiaceé was cheating on me for 6 years, and this song crushes me even more than that did! Such a deep tune!

This song was a great closing piece for the Longmire, season4, episode5 scene, where I was just introduced to it, beautiful piece!
