This is the first song I heard from them and it continues to blow me away.
This is one of the best songs of the past decade.
The songwriting, the lyrics, the performance here, their live musicianship - they're quite accomplished and sophisticated with what they do.
I can't explain why, but every time this song and performance just transports me to another plane emotionally
These guys deserve way more fame! Their harmonies & talent are beyond most musicians these days! They are like a modern day Simon & Garfunkel!

YES! This is a fantastic comparison, but both of these guys play so it makes it even more complicated. Just amazing music and they should definitely more pushed instead of the tripe we're getting forced to listen to as "music" nowadays.

The chords aren't that sad but the lyrics are profoundly sad. Rethinking the chords & notes, it's as if the protagonist is trying to remain strong & tough but it's near the breaking point of losing it.
This song was a great closing piece for the Longmire, season4, episode5 scene, where I was just introduced to it, beautiful piece!
