(If that made any sense lol) and I really enjoyed the two songs and am going to check out more of their songs. :)
The thing about SPICA was that they liked to do "corny" things. The "You Don't Love Me" video was fully made to just make fun of the "sexy" concepts that are so popular, which was why it was so corny and weird, while "Secret Time" is all about, well, you don't need a guy and you can have fun with your girls. Yeah. Exactly as it says. They're all 26+ years of age and that's what they did. They're sorely missed since they were so unique (and talented! Show Bohyung's solo stages!)
Also, for 'You don't love me', the sexualizing or flaunting isn't just for the sake of it. I think they're making a 'statement' about certain expectations or standards for women. We see in the mv some girls working out, or doing laundry, or even them wearing the fake butts. (Though I'm sure that one was mostly for humor). The song is talking about someone who doesn't really love the girl(s), instead loving what she/they can do for them - "Calculating and measuring every little thing, is that what you call love?"; "Can't you love me just the way I am?" - with lyrics like these, I assume the mv is about the girls struggling to be 'perfect' in the person's eyes, but realizing how insane these ideas are. I only watched the mv a couple times and that was long ago so I could be entirely off in how I interpreted it.

Many people don't know but it's because this you don't love me video came out as the sexy theme was being used in most kpop girl groups and they did the big butts to make fun of those that use flaunt and use sexy moves in their video.
I was a bit disappointed, I was so looking forward to reactions towards their vocals but there wasn't much attention paid to it. It made me kind of sad considering Bohyung's powerhouse vocals. I respect their opinions though because it's their right, I was just so excited for Spica and it was a bit underwhelming. Perhaps Lonely or Tonight would've been better than Secret Time? Tonight is a gorgeous song with an equally gorgeous MV.
Us last 6 mercuries crying they reacted very well to SPICA. I came in expecting they wouldn't but that really happened, they also reminded me how great the brass is in You Don't Love Me. Not all of em did but way more than I imagined really liked it. Would love to see more reactions to their other songs as well as from Professional Musicians if they ever comeback! Loved their reaction Ugh I miss Spica so much.

The vid is meant to portray the time, it's 50-60's and so are the clothes and the fake ass showing the "voluptuous" trend of the time, thing with kpop is a lot of the time their concepts reflect the feel in every way.

I love Spica. I also love how Hugo and Gwen will fight about interrupting each other meanwhile Henry, Emiel and Fiona talk over each other so much its like they don't even know someone else is speaking. The contrast is funny. This last few retro styled songs have been a nice walk down memory lane.
