    Sam is a really great rabbit wrangler! The rabbit tractor looks great. A lower bar will make it far easier to pull.

    Sam did a great job snagging the kits to be moved to the new rabbit tractor. The new pitched roof tractor looks good. Jonah is working out the kinks.

    Use left over plastic roofing cut into 4 inch pieces bend over top for roof cap overlap pieces. I think that might work.

    You should build a rabbitry like you had at your old house, and fix the coop and run you are using for the rabbits for chickens once again. Either that or raised the walls and roof on the chicken run you have the rabbits in.

    Sam was on a roll just pulling those cuties out of the burrow! LOL! They are so cute! I can't wait to see your new doe! Will you have her separate from Lincoln? Or can/will she breed right away? Not sure how it works with rabbits. And I LOVE that Rabbit Tractor 2.0!! I agree with put maybe eyehooks on the bottom to attach rope or something to. Would be a lot nicer to pull.

    I like the new tractor to cut the weight down how about using the corrugated roofing for the sides instead of the wood siding.

    On the bottom .. what if you left 6-12” on the sides .. and cut out the middle. That way they have better access to the grass. But they are not going to tunnel that far. Do you think 🤔 that would be a better setup ? What are the pro/ cons

    • @WillowCreekHomestead
      @WillowCreekHomestead  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are tunnel masters and I wouldn't put it past them to get out! LOL also they would Dig holes everywhere. The wire prevents them from digging too much. we have a pretty large gauge of wire on the bottom that allows the grasses to come through

    Would flashing work? It's bendable, like flashing chimneys.

    I suggest you look at Justin Rhodes' chicken tractors. Check out his youtube channel.
    You do have a bunch of rabbits there, guys.

    I don’t know much about bunnies but wouldn’t it be easier to use nesting boxes in rabbit tractors instead of burrows.

    • @WillowCreekHomestead
      @WillowCreekHomestead  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and no actually. When they are in the ground they handle the temperatures better. The cold and the hot. Each side of it had its pros and cons. I prefer to let them live naturally. However we may try having a momma in the rabbit tractor. So we shall see :)

    • @WillowCreekHomestead
      @WillowCreekHomestead  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also the Moms close up the burrows keeping the bugs from attacking the nests.

      Willow Creek Homestead I had no ideas that bugs attack them. Are snakes a problem there?

    • @WillowCreekHomestead
      @WillowCreekHomestead  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The biggest issue is the flies can and will lay eggs on them causing bot flies. That we know by experience that is terrible! Also ants can ruin a liter :( there are snakes here yes! We haven’t had an issue yet... knock on wood

      I tried the mamas in tractors and we lost kits due to the heat. In winter or very early spring it might work out. Summer and fall are just too warm here in Wyoming.
