    Can tell that the mic’s high pass filter enabled more mids in your voice -will give this switch a try on my same-model mic. Thanks for this video!

    Bought a P120 a couple of weeks ago as it was on sale for ~$60 off. Tried it for vocals against an AT2020 and the AT2020 blew it out of the water.

    Before i bought this mic i had few very low budget mics those were $20 mics this akg 120 was my very first upgrade i bought it for i think $90.it was a grate improvement over what i had been using for vocals. For a little more money i had thought about the akg 220 but instead i went and upgraded to a more expensive mic the beyerdynamic i still use the akg 120 from time to time.its was a grate upgrade 👍🏾

    Picked up the P-240 a couple of years ago. Figured it was time to get a mic with multiple polar patterns and the price was hard to beat/

      This is my third AKG mic and despite this one being "budget priced" they still made sure that it delivers on sound and build quality. It doesn't feel or sound like a budget mic. AKG know how to make a great microphone. I'll have to check out the 240 at some point. Thank you for continuing to check out my channel. I really appreciate it. Keep creating! 👊👍

      @@AudioTechTV I have a stereo matched pair of C-1000s with the hypercardiod adapter which work well. I bought the C-2000 a couple of decades ago and I didn’t really like it as much as my MXL mics (2000 and 603s respectively), I found it too hyped on top and my soft pallet and partially deviated septum don’t like being hyped. Lol So, I got rid of it. Of all the mics that I have had to part with over the years, I miss my Oktavas the most. They will never again be as budget friendly as they were when I bought them.

    Wait im confused first how do i use it on iphone and second how do i plug it in a cimputer and record just audio

    • @AudioTechTV
      @AudioTechTV  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      1) you’ll need an audio interface that works with your iPhone. Most do. Some require the USB camera adapter plus a powered usb hub but some others can connect direct.
      2) same as question 1. You need an audio interface for your computer. It can be the same audio interface that you use with your phone. With either one make sure it has phantom power. Almost all of them do unless they are specific to recording guitar. To record audio on your computer you’ll need a piece of software for recording. For basic audio recording you can use the free Audacity program.

    I plugged this mic into my audient id4 interface. When i press the phantom button the light was blinking and clicking. Why is that.

    • @AudioTechTV
      @AudioTechTV  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It could be the USB port that it’s connected to doesn’t have enough power for phantom power. If it’s not connected to a USB 3 port or USB C then try connecting it to one of you have one on your computer and see if that works.
      I know with some laptops, the USB ports can be underpowered. My old laptop was like that on one of the USB2 ports it was pretty much only good for connecting a mouse to it. I couldn’t get an interface to work properly on that port.

    • @EKJStudio
      @EKJStudio 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AudioTechTV i tried connecting it to a USB 3 port and the problem still persists. However sometimes it does not flicker but still, the computer wont detect the mic input.

    • @AudioTechTV
      @AudioTechTV  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Like I said in the video, it’s just the raw audio. I didn’t add any effects to it. So no de-esser.

    what is phantom power?

    • @AudioTechTV
      @AudioTechTV  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Condenser microphones have active electronics inside that require a bit of power in order for them to work. Phantom power is the source of power that these microphones need. It gets supplied through the audio interface/mixer/mic preamp and goes through the mic cable.
      If you are looking at purchasing a microphone that requires phantom power make sure your audio interface or mixer has the ability to supply phantom power. Most modern audio interfaces and mixers have it but there are still a few that don’t.
