8:43 the crazy thing about the backstory portion is that every other witch in the show got a backstory, but they left Agatha a mystery on purpose. I’ll say this again this wasn’t an Agatha show. It was a Wiccan show.
Lady Death and Agatha were lovers. Lady Death takes Agatha's child. What's the moral? Lesbian relationships are hostile to the creation of life. I am not sure that Disney meant to make that point, but that is the show's gay explosion--sort of a puny, self-evident "pop."
Lesbian relationships are hostile in general. Just look at the domestic abuse rates between Straight, Gay and Lesbian relationships (or just ask Ellen's wife)
You can’t spoil something that’s already rotten, Chris. I really cannot stand the broad who plays Agatha. She was on Parks & Rec, but she seems to be the human equivalent of nails on a chalkboard.
I only watched this show because my daughter had interest in it. Otherwise I would have stopped halfway through like most people, and I would not have missed anything if I had done so. The biggest problem with this show(and there are many problems), is that there is no character arc for anyone. Agatha stays the same throughout, Wiccan just gets powers, but is essentially the same, the black witch doesn't learn or grow in any way, just gets her powers back, and the other characters just die for no reason, they don't really learn or grow either. It was pointless and stupid and they did the same thing to Agatha that they did with Wanda where the character is constantly yo-yoing from sympathetic to heartless villain. You would think that they would have learned from that mistake in Doctor Strange:MOM, but no. I'm just glad it's done and I don't have to watch it anymore.
I feel like they separate the episodes so you forget what you just watched, but watching it together gives me a headache, stop changing the rules you establish.
I suffered from fomo for decades. Grey’s anatomy was the first show I noped out. Then the acolyte happened , I watched the entire series. So come with this. I saw 3 episode and said , nope nope nope. Watched TH-cam rather. Would not watch this.
I watched the entire series. Besides the bad writing, what made me so mad watching this was the apathy I had for the characters. No one grew, no one became likable, and everyone kept flip-flopping on how they felt about each other. The only episode that was “decent” was Patti Lupone’s episode. At least I felt something when she died, but I chalk that up to her as an actress. Really wish I would have just watched the reviews rather than the actual show.
A post about the finale popped up on my IG feed and the comments were on the line of this show being the best show ever, the best ending ever, how the high the ratings were, and how the haters deserve to burn in hell😂

I really enjoyed it. But I know, nobody is watching. I’ve got the Penguin series on my watchlist next - it’s hard to keep up. Silo season 2, the Diplomat season 2 and Lioness season 2 are all incredible so not sure I can get to the Penguin right away.
11:39 I find it interesting that Alan is unintentionally disregarding how little Disney/Marvel would care about their ages and put them in YAV anyway, since they'd just be "under 40" and just CALL it Young Avengers. Yes, it wouldn't be comic book accurate, but what's new about that? 10/10 agree with Chris that we see live action Young Avengers content.
To be very clear, there is a LOT of cringe in this show! But the ending didn't bother me that much. What did bother me was that dumb song!! Ugh nails on the chalkboard! I think there's a somewhat decent idea and they did say the purpose of the stupid road was to get their powers (or wishes). It could have been an okay movie (if I'm being kind), but 9 episodes was just too painful. But I will say Aubrey Plaza as Death is one of the best casting choices Disney's had in many years. I thought she was the best part. Otherwise I will never remember much of anything from this show. Except for the times I wake up in a cold sweat after hearing that stupid song in my sleep.

Going out on a limb, but there were actually things about the show that I liked. Overall it was DEI strewn garbage, but there were a few bright points. - I loved the twist with Lilia. She comes across as a batty old witch, until you get to see her whole story and find out she lives her life out of sequence. I thought they did something good with that twist. - The trap sequence in the Tarot room with the dropping swords and lowering ceiling was interesting, but I can't shake the feeling that I saw a similar scene in a better movie/show at some point. - I got an occasional chuckle out of some of the jokes. - the reveal that Agatha's son created the song, and she used it after his death to gather witches and steal their power, was somewhat interesting. - the notion that Billy created the witch's road, similar to Wanda's creation of the hex, was also interesting, but I wasn't sure why Agatha went along with the ruse, since she knew as soon as the door appeared that something was up. - Jennifer was an obnoxious witch most of the way through the show, but she started to grow on me when she finally opened up to Lilia. I thought that her acting in the last few episodes was great, especially compared to the one-note performance we got up to that point. Among the many things that don't make sense by the end - if Wiccan made the road, and the song was a fake made by Agatha and her son, how did it ward off Alice's curse for her whole life?
Actually really liked the last three episodes, wish the rest of the show could have been as good. Considering the budget, I thought especially the last two eps were beautifully shot. That said -Should've been the Wiccan show -Hung way too much on that song -Could've been an actual road show with the Salem Seven in hot pursuit, they were wasted
Agatha stayed as a ghost because Billy has the ability to put spirits into bodies and she’s hoping for a second chance at life. I’m guessing when they put Agatha back into a body they’ll pull. A Wonder Woman 1984 and we’ll just see her as she was in this show rather than the persons body she took.
@@sadomars2446 I'm not a bot an I usually agree with these guys on their reviews but I actually liked this one. Not everyone that disagrees with your opinion of a show means they're a bot.
Young Avengers has been around for decades. The original set of characters came out in 2005. That being said they weren't really popular back then. Guardians of the Galaxy came out around the same time so they could work if you could make their story fun like Gunn did with Guardians, who were also unknown.
MCU GOTG is a complete ripoff of sci-fi TV series Farscape. Hack Gunn has zero creativity. All his movies are of remakes, adaptions or stolen from better movies ("Slither" is a ripoff of David Cronenberg's "Shivers" and "Night Of The Creeps.") The original GOTG are from 1969 and appeared in 2. The MCU version didn't appear until 2002, two years after Farscape was cancelled. Even it influenced that version with them updating Drax's design, which resembles Ka D'Argo, by giving him tattoos and knives. D'Argo's body is covered in tattoos and uses a sword rifle.
@@vonVile Hold your horses there. The Abnett and Lanning run of GotG which Gunn based his team off of is NOT the MCU Guardians. The MCU Guardians personalities and looks are nothing like the characters from 2008 run. Even the Nova Corp is wrong. That is one of my favorite comic book runs and I'll not have to slander it by saying it's an MCU story. The MCU Guardians were fun movies but they were nothing like the comics.
Wow I can't believe this😲 Two old guys trying to convince each other and other people that the show is bad🙆♂️ and already saying future movies are going to be a mess. Wtf is this👀

Why is Gore bitching about the music? It's SUPPOSED to be manipulative, to set tone and mood. Otherwise, why have it? That's why movies are, unfortunately, taken for real stories in biopics.
I disagree, all around. The show was serviceable, enjoyable, and mid-tear. There was nothing wrong with the show but there was also nothing great about it. I've seen many commentators who watch the episodes on YT love it. I thought it developed Wiccan well but he is not a character I care about in the comics, so I like him just a bit more now than I did before the show. Even the bad sets were explained by the last episode as being products of Wiccan's imagination. This was 5 out of 10 series for me, and a few episodes reach the heights of a 6 out of 10 episode. I liked it and don't regret watching it.
Funny how channels like this and Geeks & Gamers didn’t grift this show like others… No 5 videos a week like The Acolyte… Shows that this show is not as bad as they say 😅
How was it good? It's just a botched, "modern audience" 'Charmed' that makes no sense serving to your majority male audience. But we're bigots because we neither care about or like it? The show was doomed from conception because it's deliberately antagonistic, both in its content and its demographics. Disney get exactly what they deserve - failure.
I don’t think Agatha was supposed to be the protagonist she’s the villain, Bill is the protagonist. He is the one driving the plot forward and has the emotional journey and character building moments. Bill starts to get through to Agatha and you see glimmers of change here and there as Billy shows her compassion but she’s in it for herself through the entire show. I also thought the way they showed Lilliana’s journey through time was well edited into all of the episodes. Overall the show kept me engage though there were some slow parts andI’d recommend watching it.

Nope
MCU GOTG is a complete ripoff of sci-fi TV series Farscape. Hack Gunn has zero creativity. All his movies are of remakes, adaptions or stolen from better movies ("Slither" is a ripoff of David Cronenberg's "Shivers" and "Night Of The Creeps.")
The original GOTG are from 1969 and appeared in 2.
It's a very forgettable meh
Watched it with the wife, and she has made me watch way worse shit than this show, it could have been much worse.
Wow I can't believe this😲 Two old guys trying to convince each other and other people that the show is bad🙆♂️ and already saying future movies are going to be a mess. Wtf is this👀
Trash!!!!
It nearly hit the spot but it’s just not.
I’m sick and tired of all this crap being reviewed, over and over again. Sorry guys, I’m taking a break from all these streams, no offence, but even the fellowship as become too predictable these days… I like Film Threat, not ‘stream threat’ … see you in the new year… I’m all checked out, be well everyone 🙏🏼
This isn't an airport; you don't have to announce your departure. Just leave.
Why is Gore bitching about the music? It's SUPPOSED to be manipulative, to set tone and mood. Otherwise, why have it? That's why movies are, unfortunately, taken for real stories in biopics.
Oh it wasn’t that bad. It was a fun little show that’s entertaining. Not meant to reshape the MCU. Chilllllllll
That's one way to cope with it. They didn't do videos because no one cares about the show.
I actually liked this show to be honest. It’s a story of motherhood and redemption.
You're joking. Agatha is an unapologetic murderer. There's nothing maternal about her.
No,it's a horrible intersectional feminist show that makes no sense whatsoever.
Actually the show was good… and the writing, foreshadowing, and music was stellar work! Lady Death was perfect casting as well 🔥
How was it good? It's just a botched, "modern audience" 'Charmed' that makes no sense serving to your majority male audience.
But we're bigots because we neither care about or like it? The show was doomed from conception because it's deliberately antagonistic, both in its content and its demographics.
Disney get exactly what they deserve - failure.
I liked it but last episode was not good
The show was horrendous from start to finish.

@@sadomars2446 Did you watch the show or are you just saying bot because I thought the show had some depth and I enjoyed it and you immediately dismiss any opinion that doesn't line up with your preconceived notions about a show? If you watched it's I'd like to hear your opinion of it, I'm here to have a friendly and open discussion about actual point in the show not a flame war. I actually watch these guys regularly and I agree with them on most points as I said in my other comment of you calling me a bot.
e
I was surprisingly able to enjoy it.
4:54 right what’s the point of all this
