I actually think that they are all good people deep down. They COULD have let Ortho reset the world and gone home to take advantage of the situation. Leona could have made himself King in Sunset Savanah. Jamil could have overthrown the Asim's in control of the Scorching Sands. Azul could have taken over the Coral Sea and so on. But they chose not to and even came up with selfish reasons as to why they chose not to. Maybe this is just me being naive, but I think that they all have entirely different reasons to saving the world. Plus, you know the phase "Actions speak LOUDER than Words."
Even though their reasons being selfish, they do have a good points in some sense, at least have benefit towards others. Othro's desire for freedom for the sake of himself and Idia, despite being understandable due to circumstances, but releasing the Phantoms and resetting the world is way too much. Its the same as destroying the efforts others have built from ground up, as pointed out by Azul and Vil. Even Riddle have a good point that rules shouldn't be forcefully imposed to others by self-righteous
