Have you tried any of the lounges at Manchester Airport? Never previously considered an airport lounge, but your footage of Birmingham has piqued my interest if only for a half-decent breakfast.
Only ever been in the No.1 Lounge that was in the vlog. It wasn't bad to be honest. I am a member of the Priority Pass scheme and use them all the time. It gives me a bit of peace and quiet to work whilst having a bite to eat and of course a cheeky glass of wine.
We were in the No.1 Lounge a month or so ago when we flew to Bratislava well worth the money (and always offers/discounts available if you shop around). Idea if you just have hand luggage and no hold luggage to check in. Agree the bathroom situation is a little odd although it is literally just around the corner.
I use the Priority Pass. I find it very useful. 👍🏼
