I've beaten it several times and if they made a remake I'd beat it again. But it definitely is easier when you've already beaten it so much. It's a walk in the park in difficulty.

And yet simply ramping up the difficulty in a remake would seem disingenuous somehow.
Maybe it needs a proper PROPER remake. Resi 4 style.
I love this video. It's clear you are actually struggling to understand something. It's a good question, I love Ocarina of Time, I am in a monogamous marriage with that game. So it's something I too, think about often. After playing BOTW I would go into OOT and would instinctively think of climbing to solve puzzles, before remembering I couldn't.
It's certainly a wrestle. And the wrestle continues...

I don't know why you say Nintendo holds your hand on Kokiri forest. They really don't.
All those manual-like dialogues are optional, and even BotW and TotK have them in their starting areas.
No, really. Go back and talk to the old man and the Zonnai constructs. They also talk in a manual-like manner outside of story revelant dialogue.
Not to mention Kokiri Forest is an open area for the most part. You can even try to go all the way to the Forest Meadow before you get the sword and shield if you're up for it.
I think you dropped the ball on that one.

Although I will say the angle I was attempting was more of a observation of how inorganic the dialogue feels.
The Old Man teaching Link makes sense as he's lost his memory. It suits the Zonai Constructs as they're more hollow and mechanical. But the kids in Kokiri Forest are definitely the most egregious example in the series, made worse by the fact Link is supposed to have grown up with them. Almost all of them speak entirely like they're talking to a video game character, not a friend. Take the Know-It-All Brothers, their ONLY purpose is to teach the player how to play, and they're just static while they do it.
You are right, though. Perhaps "hand-holding" in this context is incorrect. And of that, Ocarina of Time is far from the worse example.
