@Ulysses S. Grant Its seems you don't understand. Jesus came to set us free from sin. When you Repent for real, then Jesus takes your sin away and gives you his spirit. If you read Galatians 5 16 then you would know that Jesus spirit keeps you away from sin. Something that is impossible to do without Jesus.
