At A level, you simply follow the CIP convention as in the video.

My teacher told me that cis/tans isomers where the same as E/Z isomers?
Cis-trans applies when we are looking at hydrogen. E/Z can apply to any group.
@@Freesciencelessons pretty sure its the other way sir no? E/Z applies to only hydrogens whereas cis/trans is when you dont have hydrogens
