I will always associate model trains with Christmas since that is what I and many people grew up with. For me it was a tie between the first 2 layouts.
Great video content, my favorite scale has always been HO but do look at all other scales, hey who knows maybe someday I will have a big property to build some other great scales.
It’s always great weather in western PA, even better up in Erie. Now you need to understand great encompasses things like: fog, clouds, drizzle, rain, snow plus all the other precipitation and even includes sunny skies once per season. I think I left out the lake effect snow. It would be really cool getting some live action in some snow.… I can’t wait to see what you come up with!! Unfortunately I can’t fly a drone where I live, something about being on a flight path of the helicopters landing & taking off from the trauma center 1/2 mile away. ☹️
hey DJ got a work question for you, are there any grey hoods set up to run DPU? i saw a drag the other day with a grey hood in the lead of a 3 engine head and the drag had a DPU in it! i was told all the grey's were too old to have the DPU gear on them, has cheapskate started adding it to the grey's or or is there a way a grey on the lead to control a DPU through a tailing engine set up for it?
Hi DJs, You are great, if you have not yet joined, I like to invite you to join international group of people that help make the standards of the model railroad that you have helped in showing trains and how they operate. It is NATIONAL MODEL RAILROAD ASSOCATION (NMRA) and the local group and you can help and educate the people and have fun doing it. I myself have joined when I was teenager and it not only help me with my career in the freight business, but as hobby I have had friendships of many people. That was a long time ago, I am retired and enjoying the the pleasure of the group that put on railroad shows and meets. I am 74.
I like the two HO scale layouts and the N scale layout. The night scene is beautiful

Curious, will CSX allow you to decorate the engines? Such as wreaths, garlands, or lights?
lol. Maybe a yard engine which the regular crew can do it. Never gave it much thought because we don’t keep the same units very long
