Don't forget it's also POE powered which means get a powered POE network switch and no more power brick! Swiss army knife is right!

I got all excited about getting this a while ago and when I finally around to it, it virtually doubled in price. So I found the LinkPi ENC1-V3. It's also an encoder/decoder with what looks like the same setup. It would be interesting to see how these compare. Thanks for the review. They make a huge range though. I ended up ordering the LinkPi EVC5-V2 which has 5 hdmi inputs and 1 hdmi output. It will also turn a connected usb webcam into a stream. It has all the codex but I think the NDI | HX license is bought separately. Still a good price compared to the Newtek Tricaster gear.

The ZowieBox has NDI built in without extra cost and the current version converts UVC to HDMI and NDI!

I don’t think so, but you can use Ethernet or WiFi to connect. Contact them directly to check.

Yes it is possible. I use it in a show and it work good. BUT there are no antenna on the box so the wifi reception isn't very good. It lag over 15/20 meter and the box is lost on a mesh network.
