  • How does T1 Recovery affect our T2 Decay signal? Are TR and TE on different timelines? How do their values lead to our standard MRI sequences? What is the meaning of life? On the final lecture of the basic but not so basic series of MRI Physics Explained, we’re going to bring all the topics that we’ve discussed in the last few lectures on image contrast together and show how these parameters participate in a harmonious dance to build our standard sequences! Enjoy!

I wish my MRI physics lecturer could have explained it all this way. Watching your 7 videos has been such a break through. The way you deliver this content is so logical and these concepts of T1 and T2 weighted images FINALLY make sense to me. Keep up the great work and thank you so much.

Definitely need more content from you. I have asked myself so many of the same questions and it’s starting to click after watching your lectures. I’m going back through several more times and taking notes for sure. Would love to see how you explain pulse sequences, kspace, and Velocity encoding. Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much, can you lecture on the parameters: fov, matrix and tr that influence time?

We briefly get into factors that affect imaging time in the Spin-Echo lecture th-cam.com/video/vK6PeCPpOLY/w-d-xo.html and Turbo/Fast Spin Echo th-cam.com/video/ZW7dw-zL9_M/w-d-xo.html if you haven't checked those out already but will keep the other factors in mind for future lectures. Thanks for commenting and supporting the channel, really appreciate it!

Dude, ive been trying to wrap my head around how T2 relies on long tr and te when T2 decay happens much faster than T1 relaxation...this is the only place ive seen that explains how this actually works w the T2 decay being in the graph after the first TR.

This was a major source of confusion for me as well and likewise had difficulty finding that subtle but important piece to the puzzle which makes it all click!
