- How does T1 Recovery affect our T2 Decay signal? Are TR and TE on different timelines? How do their values lead to our standard MRI sequences? What is the meaning of life? On the final lecture of the basic but not so basic series of MRI Physics Explained, we’re going to bring all the topics that we’ve discussed in the last few lectures on image contrast together and show how these parameters participate in a harmonious dance to build our standard sequences! Dude, ive been trying to wrap my head around how T2 relies on long tr and te when T2 decay happens much faster than T1 relaxation...this is the only place ive seen that explains how this actually works w the T2 decay being in the graph after the first TR.
This was a major source of confusion for me as well and likewise had difficulty finding that subtle but important piece to the puzzle which makes it all click!
