Thank you for the video, I am facing a similar warning while driving and on seeing this, gear shift in automode and manual mode is halted. Authorized dealer is telling to replace TCU(Transmission control unit which cost around 15K, and has a waiting period of 2 to 3 weeks). It seems that , they are also doubtful about the real reason initially they were telling its due to aging battery . This vechile is 2017 jan model . Any suggestions. Its the second time i am facing this problem. So pls give a valuable suggestion, Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the video. I have same errors P1983 P 185C P1885. The local garage gave me two options. Entire AMT for 70K or repair it for 35K by replacing few parts including circuit unit. Pls share your opinion if the quote given is fair??

Great video and content. Thank you so much. My mechanic says Piston kit assy with seal is required and it is almost impossible to get right now as Maruti has stopped giving out these spares. Otherwise they say that Maruti service center will replace the entire AMT actuator unit which costs around 75K INR. Please help me out as couldn't understand where the piston assy is located. I am away from my home and had to ask my dad about it and I don't have a picture of the damaged part.

Many Thanks for posting this video. My celerio VXi 2014 model has the same issue you have posted. i was parking the car for 2 weeks with out starting the car. The very next day when I tried to start the car its not starting. I towed to service center and their soultion is to replace the Actuator Assembly costing around 70k. I am not sure about the error codes appeared while scanning but this should be similar to the one you have indicated. After watching this video I am going to tell your suggestion to replace the pump motor. This is certainly an eyeopener for me . 1.Any idea if the pump motor part number shown in your video 2280T M 76MEO same for celerio 2014 model? 2. Maruti service center saying pump not available. Appreciate if you could please tell me where to buy this pump. please reply. Thanks in advance for your help.

@Rajesh Kumar Oil is unlikely to decrease without a leak, The oil in the AMT oil tank will normally be at the full level while the MT will change to the low level during work and return to the high level after a while ,The oil trap is used to prevent oil from escaping easily from the AMT tank .The oil trap also helps to prevent the oil from leaking out during periods of high pressure in the oil tank and to release only the pressure coming into the tank.
Hello Riyas, the AMT actuator oil level in my six year old celerio as seen in the reservoir has reduced by about an inch from the max mark. Can I buy it from MASS shop and top up after removing the oil trap by myself or it should be done by authorised service center only. Please advise. Thanks.
Hi friend did you notice any oil leakage in AMT unit? . In normal conditions there is no decrease in oil, (at the time of working of AMT motor the oil level in reservoir tank shows slight decrease and it will be return back to normal level) The company not recommended for oil top-up. in case of any oil leakage or poor condition of the oil or at the time of service of the AMT unit, the company recommended for complete drain and replacement of the oil.

Sir thank you for this video🙏 I just saw this video and I'm facing a huge problem with my car for the past 4 months. I have Swift petrol AMT. My mechanic has changed the clutch plate and pressure plate but he did not discharge the AMT oil through proper channel and also without using a proper scanner. After fitting the AMT unit he filled the oil and now the vehicle is unable to change gears. Kindly help me. Thanks

My ALTO k10 starts in the morning on a single try. But after 2 kms of running the gear automatically comes to 'N'. Then the gear cant be changed. If the car is switched off, it cant be started till the car cools down. Maruti Service said the AMT module may have to be changed which will cost around 70000/-. When they scanned the TCM, the following are shown below the DTC header. P185C, P1983, P188E AND C1122. If you can resolve this, that would be of great help. I am in Mumbai.

There is no need to change the entire AMT unit and its parts are available separately... All you have to do is find out which part is damaged and replace it.. The AMT unit will have a much higher price but the parts that will be available separately will be much cheaper.

Sir after changing the oil by mechanic the gear is changing to 2nd gear only and cannot shift to 1, 3,4,5 gear, please help as the mechanic is saying he cannot do for this now.
Sir before removing the AMT unit , first step is oil discharging by using AMT scanning tool , and after re-fixing AMT unit there is one another step " all value initialisation" (re learning) .only after completion of all this procedure we get the correct output.(kindly contact with nearest Maruti service center).

Can we top up the AMT oil without removing oil trap from oil reservoir. If not kindly tell the process to top up AMT oil in dzire ags car.
Usually There is no need for oil top-up in AMT unit ,if decrees in level of oil ,plz check any oil leakage then solve the problem and replace the oil.
Sir the AMT oil level in my dzire AGS is below low level. Confirm it required to be topped up or not

എന്ത് കൊണ്ടാണ് ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കുന്നത്. ഒരിക്കൽ അറിയാതെ ഹാൻഡ് ബ്രേക്കിൽ വണ്ടി മൂവ് ചെയ്തു പോയിട്ടുണ്ട് അപ്പോൾ വാർണിങ് ലൈറ്റ് വന്നു പിറ്റേന്ന് അത് മാറി സ്മൂത്തായി വണ്ടി വർക്കുചെയ്തു ഇപ്പോൾ ചിലപ്പോൾ ഈ ഗിയർ പ്രോബ്ലം ഉണ്ടാവുന്നു. പ്ലീസ് ഹെൽപ്

First check any trouble codes in your vehicle ( using diagnosing scanning too)If the scanning tool is connected and checked, it is possible to understand the complaints of the vehicle..,AMT hydraulic pump motor is likely to be compliant.

Sir thank you for this video🙏 I just saw this video and I'm facing a huge problem with my car for the past 4 months. I have Swift petrol AMT. My mechanic has changed the clutch plate and pressure plate but he did not discharge the AMT oil through proper channel and also without using a proper scanner. After fitting the AMT unit he filled the oil and now the vehicle is unable to change gears. Kindly help me.

My ALTO k10 starts in the morning on a single try. But after 2 kms of running the gear automatically comes to 'N'. Then the gear cant be changed. If the car is switched off, it cant be started till the car cools down. Maruti Service said the AMT module may have to be changed which will cost around 70000/-. When they scanned the TCM, the following are shown below the DTC header. P185C, P1983, P188E AND C1122. If you can resolve this, that would be of great help. I am in Mumbai.

Sir the main reason for your vehicle being compliant is likely to be the AMT pump motor . p185c,p1983 These codes are usually shown when the pump motor is compliant..
It can be understood by checking the oil pressure at the time of compliant (Check with Maruti scanning tool " SDT")

There is no need to change the entire AMT unit and its parts are available separately...
All you have to do is find out which part is damaged and replace it..
The AMT unit will have a much higher price but the parts that will be available separately will be much cheaper.

എൻറെ 2017 സുസുക്കി ഇഗ്നിസിലും ട്രാൻസ്മിഷനുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ചില പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നു. വണ്ടി ഓട്ടത്തിൽ ഓടിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഗിയറിൽ തന്നെ നിന്നു പോകുന്നു. മാനുവൽ മോഡിൽ ഇട്ടാലും ഗിയർ മാറ്റാൻ പറ്റുന്നില്ല. ഓഫ് ആക്കി എടുത്താൽ കുറച്ചു സമയം ഓടും പിന്നെയും ഇതേ പ്രശ്നം തന്നെ transmission malfunction warning and engine check warning കത്തി നിൽക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. Amt oil level minimum positionil anu ullath.ഇതുവരെ 32000km ഓടിച്ചു. വാറൻറി കഴിഞ്ഞ മാസം കഴിഞ്ഞു. എന്തായിരിക്കും കാരണം? പ്രശ്നം പരിഹരിക്കുന്നതിന് വലിയ ചിലവ് വരുമോ ?

Sir before removing the AMT unit , first step is oil discharging by using AMT scanning tool , and after re-fixing AMT unit there is one another step " all value initialisation" (re learning) .only after completion of all this procedure we get the correct output.(kindly contact with nearest Maruti service center).
