Judy, a finance tip I've seen about how to avoid overconsumption is leave the item in your cart for a week and see if you still feel the same about it a week later.
Maybe remote controlled candles could be a fun touch for under the tv ! Like a few of them different sizes too ,Cozy vibes, not danger and easy to turn on and off !

What if you moved the lights to the other side of the plants? Towards the corners of the room instead of right by the tv? On camera at least it comes off really bright by the tv

Hmmm I would just not have anything under the tv, maybe just some small decorative pieces but don’t overcrowd it. I’m an interior designer/architect if that helps haha.

hey judy is have the SAME PROBLEM with impulse buying!! what i do now is when i see a product i want to buy then and there i give myself 24-48 hours to see if i REALLY want it. i think about where it would go and how it would bring joy into my life. if i dont think about it after 1-2 days i wont go back to buy it. those few days also give me the time i need to know if its even something i need in my life (im saying all of this but its still a problem… just not as much anymore😹)

A thought for under the tv: Using a tension rod hang a very pale off white or beige solid color curtain (like a valance). And if it's too long it's an easy fix to shorten a straight line.

You should put your candles under the tv for decoration and when you went to use one just take it from there and light it and out it on the table.

A tv option could be switching out your tv bracket for an adjustable one that could lower the tv to the mantle a bit so it’s not such a big gap; then for fun, add LED strip lights behind that change colours as you’re watching movies 😎 The kiddos would love it!

We all have that problem. Addiction is real. I’m on a no buy until I use up or giveaway stuff I don’t need. I threw away something’s that were expired. I have to use up what I have. Clothes are another story. I need appropriate summer clothes. I’m not in my 20’s anymore. I’m not even in my 30’s. 🤦♀️
You can put a long green fake plant in a brown or black wide rectangular wooden container.

What's your secret in keeping the cake layers from moving? I have to stick straws in mines. My kids claim that I have to be more patient and frost it more gently. Gave them the spatula and made them do it.
