My heart aches for Lu Jiaxue because he really loves her but she has moved on. She once loved him and that is all he remembers since they have been apart and he has been searching for her since she was almost murdered by that jealous girl. He was innocent of wrongdoing and never would have harmed her. No wonder he cannot give up his memories and love of her. No matter what else he does in his life, his love for her remains steadfast. I know she no longer loves him but I just feel sad for him.
He uses people for his own purposes. I have no pity for him at all. The reason the jealous girl went after him is because he used her and her family for money and power. He isn't innocent or sweet.

@@Kat19760 I only meant he was innocent of ordering her to be killed. I watched clips and haven't seen all the episodes but have heard that in the novel they were married when she disappeared. I thought she went after the fl because she was jealous of her. Later she told him he used her and her family (I saw a clip) but I didn't know that was her initial reason for doing what she did. I didn't see episodes leading up to what she did or any full episodes so I was clueless. He evidently uses anyone that can bring him more power and money. I agree he is ruthless in that aspect and I prefer the gentle nature of the ml versus his overbearing manners. I have felt bad for him since hearing that the novel was different, they were married etc.. but the sympathy I feel is only for his loving her when she no longer loves him.

I feel he is tragic also. My heart goes out to him because although he is not meant for the fl, it is obvious he loves her so much.
Lu Jiaxue is not domineering. He’s a horrible character trying to force her to love and be with him. And he is ABUSIVE! That is NOT LOVE!
Right?! People are trying to act like he's so sweet and deserves better. Nope he deserves what he is getting and worse.
