Abbos does not "lose" tempo. He makes a conscious, controlled, choice to change the tempo, to bring this improvised solo to different dynamic levels. There is a difference. He is a "first take" kind of guy in the studio...a true world class artist.

Hi Abbos, Greeting from Malaysia here. I just came back from your beautiful country recently and bought one doyra there. I'm facing a problem with the head skin, its not tight anymore maybe of different air temperature. Is there anyway to tune it back? If u have any link of the lesson that u can attach, or maybe a short vid from u on how to tune it would be much grateful and thankful for your kind assist and share.
If both the inner and the outer sides of the frame that surrounds the instrument are flat and have no gap or hole for a tool to tighten the head skin, so it should only be possible to do so by heating the leather on it.
Some Uzbeks speak farsi fluently. Especially those who live in Samarqand and Bukhara among Tajiks. But it does sound different from Kabuli or Iranian Farsi.
Ah..ok...i used to know an Uzbek and he spoke fluent farsi...maybe he learned it. It was weird to hear someone speak farsi with a sort of Slavic accent.
Abbos aka ustozimizga gaap yoqda
I learned a lot from watching how he moves the drum to get different effects from the jingles. Thanks!

Abbos is the sickest! He is the national musician of Uzbekistan. You can also hear him on Stevie Wonder's new album.

mangayam doira chalishni urgating :)
Eta Uzbek eli Bukharski?
huyna
i wonder if he plays daf... Uzbeks speak farsi for the most part, right?
Mination45, isn't it quite rude to insult other musicians?
Both players you mention are talented guys.
sfdjembeman - you don't necessarily need to keep a constant tempo when improvising...
I can play like that too. Doira is the best tool.

No. Uzbeks speak Uzbek. It is a Turkic language.
