- Pro-Palestinian groups are up in arms over "last-minute" restrictions imposed by the Metropolitan Police ahead of Saturday’s national demonstration. They claim the measures, including a delayed start time, are an attack on their democratic rights.
London has seen regular pro-Palestinian protests, attended by tens of thousands, since the war on Gaza began last October. But tensions are set to rise this Saturday, as protesters plan to march to the Israeli embassy in Kensington for the first time.

I used to love this country so much. I was a 70s kid and although my upbringing was tough, I loved it. I served in the British army for 11 years because I thought it was the right thing to do, but now, I am trying to figure out a way I can leave. I never ever thought that was something I would ever say, but I don't see how we can reverse all the damage done to our country, started by that traitor Tony Blair. Who I think still has a massive influence over the current communists.

Intimidating and threatening people off the street who don’t side with their terrorist ideology. Their targets need a constant police protection; a static guard outside to prevent them from burning the premises down. People are attacked, assaulted and driven out of their homes. Journalist forced to hire personal protection because of the imminent danger of being stabbed, or poisoned, or have acid thrown at them. They recruit the homeless and vulnerable, pump them full of drugs and deploy them out as another page of the human shield tactic.
They are rapidly loosing support from the majority while desperately trying to gain favour from people who will never support them.

I just started to watch Laura Kuennesberg on Sunday morning show interviewing Starmer. She started on a bad note for me then he started blaming the protests and riots on society, not on the actual real issue. He is unbelievable. It got turned off immediately and will never watch again. I’m terrified to protest on the streets now days. I feel my freedom of speech and expression has been criminalised, the obvious and genuine concerns I have here in the UK are now deemed far right. I am not violent or radical, I’m just a very worried woman. This is my home, I was born here and I don’t recognise it, I worry for my family and I don’t know what to do any more. There are so many injustices and poverty, I suppose if I was to protest I’d be doing it all the time over fuel prices, energy prices, foreign investors, greedy corporations, food prices, men, women and families having their homes taken away with dodgy paperwork, parking chargers everywhere you go, cameras all over the place, facial recognition, bully debt collectors throwing their weight around, illegal immigrants getting 5 star treatment, war, Just to name a few. I’m silently protesting now days withholding all payments in the hope that we get a grip on on country and return to law and peace and those that impose these tyrannical measures and government not for the people

I saw yesterday where a lady got knocked off her bike in London and had ,we heard a bad injury which was terrible for the poor woman ,but there were about five police cars and as many ambulances a Helicopter and absolutely loads of police just to control onlookers 🤷it was BONKERS

What is happening in Gaza and the West Bank is horrifying and heartbreaking. Without getting into the politics of it I have a question. What is the point of a pro-Palestine march again and again in London?? The British government and people have NO SAY in any decision made by the rulers of Israel, Netanyahu will not be swayed by demonstrations in other countries or visits from foreign politicians. So why the repeated marches with all the associated costs and inconvenience to the people of London when they can achieve nothing?

I have been to a few marches in the past, marches for the environment, marches for the return of school sports during COVID, marches for safer streets etc. And it was always announced, it was organized to not disrupt businesses and the city community enjoying their day, by either being around the parlement or city hall or something. Yesterday, citizen and tourists were enjoying a good end of summer terrace and market when a group of pro-palestinians fully dressed in foreign and Muslim religion clothes, waving 3 big Palestinian flags and screaming through a megaphone 📣📣📣📣 completely disrupted and ruined the good community mood that was happening on this fine Saturday afternoon. It was SO LOUD and aggressive. Businesses are still trying to get back on their feet after the years of COVID and reconnect with the community but it seems to be systematically disrupted.
This was in Canada.
In case you haven't noticed, this is happening in every country in the world that has a leftwing government and until these people are removed from office it will keep getting worse.

Tactically the police can alter their responses when eyes are on them, but we must take a broader view and examine the overall strategy and driving forces of two tier policing, rather than just isolated events.
Consistent application of the law and respect for the law is a must if we are to be a united country once again.

The charge is not inciting hatred. It’s inciting violent disorder (which requires between 3 and 12 acting in concert) and he could say he was just meaning individuals to follow his orders so not guilty of the chosen charge.
