LMAO that's exactly what I did after seeing a couple "best tactic ever" videos. Worked well enough to get me to PL, but now I'm getting smashed pretty much every match - definitely getting relegated. Should've stayed in the championship a couple of seasons, but that PL cash inflow is too good to say no to 😏
@@Permuh looking for a tactic online is actually a really good idea. even with greater knowledge about the game. you may see something you never would have thought about. for me it was the inverted wingback (especially on attack). it's so great to see your fullback being heavily involved in the attack. if you have a dani alves type of defender or a winger with decent defensive stats go for it. with the addition of overlapping on the right he cuts later into the middle and just works wonders with an inverted winger. one of them is cutting inside and the other one is providing width. with playing one twos this can be deadly. i just love it. i have a possession based tactic with very short passing. just this tactic with derby county and jayden bogle is a really good fit on that level, but i found an incredible brazilian rightback in my dortmund save. really the next dani alves with amazing crossing, which isn't quite common with regens. they usually tend to have bad crossing stats. don't know why. or i just got really unlucky in fm20 so far. he had like 190pa and 180ca. checked it after i decided to start a new save
@@Permuh There is nothing wrong in downloading tactics but you have to understand how it works. You can't expect every opposition to play the same way that's why it it is useless to use other's tactics when you don't understand it.
The biggest misconception is that tactics determine most outcomes. Often you will win or lose due to talent, luck, player inconsistency, form, etc., and not because of any tactical decisions.
I actually disagree games are won or lost by tactics and tactical decisions by playing inconsistent players that is down to your poor decisions , failing to check where your attacks breakdown is another poor tactical decision. Yes you do get the odd lucky goal but it is up to make the changes in order to win the game.
Weirdly enough, some FM sites will consider this a 4-2-4. I personally think the current FM formation system complicates the use of the most common formation currently. There are 5 workable 4-2-3-1s at FM now.
The team instructions one is a massive debate. Most op tactics that you can download have tons of instructions. But you then get the more “snobby” fm players who think you only need 4 or 5 instructions and tweak from there.
Is it okay if I want to change the mentality during the game? Usually my team breaks down when I do this, but then there are some matches in FM where like, you're supposed to LOSE, while being unbeaten in all last 26 games of your season and lose to a team with woeful form.
Not only want, but you should change your mentality when things aren't going your way, most of the time I use balanced/positive mentalities and you would be surprised by the amounts of times I changed to Very Attacking in the last 15 minuts of the game to rescue a draw or even win the game, of course you need to use the correct Team Instructions, when you find youself in this losing scenario, consider going a bit wider, asking to press higher, playing in a higher tempo, asking to be slighty or purely more direct in the style of passing, deselecting play out defense, and some others like hit early crosses or shoot on sight, etc, it might help. Bare in mind that I am not saying that you should use all of this Team Instructions at once as sort of a combination, depending of circumstances, just a little adjusting here and there and you probably will overturn the situation in your favor. Hope I could help, and if I said something wrong, everyone is free to alert me on my mistakes and correct me.
The "misconceptions" are actually a way of saying: "SI isn't properly explaining their tactical options" - that's when you know you have to make a video explaining that certain options "don't quite work the way they're described".
Biggest Misconception HAS to be the Attributes. Dribbling Attribute of 1 doesn't mean he's a bad dribbler. If his Concentration is 18 he has all the right to suddenly become MESSI and score the teams first shot on target at the 90th minute And Ruin everyone's day including boo your Wingers who have 20 in Dribbling, Flair, Agility, Finishing, Technique, and have been trying to do that whole game but could only hit the corner flag.
I have always let my assistant do the opp instructions and done me no harm so I have to disagree with that bit. I do agree however with the bit about players that enjoy/relish big matches. I always look to buy players with that in a scout report. I also look for whether they are susceptible to injuries.
i find that my tactics usually work and it is only a tweek of instructions and a couple of substitutions that turn the game. Your oponent has strengths and weaknesses you can adapt to with instructions rather than formation changes.
#3 is not 100% true because ive yet to select low crosses and get players to actually follow that instruction, and thats using numerous different tactics.

they need to make a basic version of the game where you can choose to have like 1 tenth as many things to do, just as an option, cos man there are only so many hours in the day. How long will a season take if you are settin instructions for every opposition player, setting detailed indivdual training, tactical briefings etc? It must be like an hour for each game. Remember the good ole days of tonton zola mokouko and a young zlatan ibrahimovic, boom, one 10 hour session you have done a season and tonton has scored 50. This game takes me probably 30 or 40 hours to do a season, its too much, and the AI relating to player interactions, teamtalks etc is too stupid and limited at this stage to bother including such features. Looking forward to the metaverse AR/VR super realisitic FM games, with machine learning personas of the players and shit like that lol. But until then, every time I have to tell a player that "I have faith in you, get out there and make a difference" I just cringe lol
1. Not using a back 3. Back 4 in a league 1 side like Lincoln City then you have Macclesfield next the coffin dancers look at you funny and it's carnage
Nifemi Dosunmu I found that my issue was reputation. I created my manager with no experience and the basic coaching badge. The League 2 team that I was managing didn’t want to listen to me. If your reputation is low, look for a similar reputation team to manage.

what makes a tactic attacking, i struugle with it,
2) dont turn TI let go empity..why?in posseion tell teams early crossing but opponett have very good head and jumping..it is misteake..
