Trust me, I know man, these machines are expensive. I just sold almost my entire retro console collection to fund the next one. Thanks so much for watching!
The middle aged crowd, most of us can afford it. Other stuff usually gets us though first. The swimming pool, the nice new vehicles, vacations, home remodel. Pick your poison. Buying it isn’t the problem for us as much as making time for it. If you play the crap out of it, totally worth it.
When I play a new table for the first time, I tend to do better without knowing any of the rules. After I research how to play then I tend to overthink, choke on shots and don't do as well. New tables have lots of rule layers that tend to make my head spin. I want to have fun playing it, not get the highest score in the world, but I always enjoy when I defeat a table with all of the missions. I can defeat older tables but not any recent new ones.
Fun video Ralph. I think Venom is underrated out there. Low play LE models are out there in the $9,000 range. For now, I'll stick with my Bond 60th Anniversary LE but the regular Bond is definitely fun.
Great game. It keeps me coming back to it. Really like how deep the game is, a lot to learn, but a lot of fun. Bond James Bond is an awesome multi ball. The game keeps getting better...
What did we say about upgrading the borrowed games? :) You modded this one... Might as well keep it now... :). Great score! I'm nowhere near that yet. The code has really improved for 007. You and Mason together are gold!
I admit, I barely know how to play our newer Sterns. I try to watch videos to learn, but about 10 minutes into a 2.5 hr. tutorial, my eyes just roll back into my head.
Great seeing our HDMI Capture kits being put to good use - great production on the video - love it, and love Bond Pro - mind....... it was a dog when it first came out with early unfinished code
Hey Ralph. Great vid! I haven't seen a lot of videos on Bond so this deal Stern is doing with you is really handy. What's your lineup looking like these days? My Jaws Premium got delivered yesterday and I am hoping to get it set up and all modded out next week.
It would have been awesome if your montage was set to the same music that appeared in War Games where Matthew Broderick's character was trying to get into the WOPR.
My local arcade has a premium version. I honestly did not care for it until about my 10th play on it when it finally started to click for me. Also the new code rocks. While I would love to have my own pinball one day, I just cannot justify the cost for one at this time. Godzilla Premium would be nice to own.
The more I play this game the more I like it. Just practice that Q branch shot over and over again and you should be able to get it dialed in.. Shoot the Qbranch ..ski jump it back to the left flipper and shoot it again..same technique is great when you need that right ramp!
Thanks for the tip brother! I’m finding pinball is funny in the sense that games come out so fast, and it takes a while to even get the code good and to learn the games. But if everyone slows down and plays more (instead of fixating on “what’s next”) I think it makes the hobby more enjoyable overall. Probably a “captain obvious” observation from me but I’m still relatively new to the hobby. Thanks for the tip again on the Qbranch. ✊🏼
@RetroRalph no problem brother glad to help! That's the way I attack games of there is a shot I am having trouble making ..I will just spend several games focusing on that shot until I feel confident that I can make it. I know it sounds cliche but it is allot like like basketball you build your confidence through practice and once you have that confidence in making the shot your success rate goes up.. I struggled for a long time with the confidence side of playing pinball but once I built some confidence I started winning tournaments and playing allot more consistently.....well at least when the machine let's me play! 😅🤣
Hey, Rafa, this was an interesting video. It is amazing seeing the progression of your channel, with the help of Mason, of course. You two have great chemistry together in your videos, and I can only imagine what will be in store in the upcoming year. Hope to see you two at Southern California Gaming Expo in June.
Rarer than hen teeth over here in the UK but stumbled upon one in a random amusement arcade in rock n roll Clacton on Sea. I thought I would throw a pound in when I saw it. £15 later, I was getting dragged out by the missus. Really enjoyed it.
I haven't had a chance to play it yet, but when I first saw it, I wasn't overly impressed. However, I did spend some time watching some people play it and the gameplay looked really, really good. It's on my list to play next barcade visit.
Considering this for my next machine. (Only have Aerosmith) Actually foo fighters and stranger things are also on my list. Did those leave your collection cause you just get tired of those 2?
I’m know I’m in the minority but I really love Venom. ST is fun but I owned it for 2+ years so I was wanting something different. I ended up buying the Bond Pro I showcased in this video 🤣
This game looks pretty darn good (not that you show much of the gameplay). Really cool that you got this demo machine... um I'm sure that adding the mods voids the warranty... looks like you own another pinball machine 😅.
I'd assume they wouldn't mind I've heard of a few different aftermarket mods for some of these tables. anyway sounds like a really cool one if I ever saw one of these newer ones in the wild I'd definitely throw it a credit. admittedly I'm not much of a pinball guy but wouldn't say no to throwing a credit into one if it sounded fun. great video as always man!
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope all is good brother! Is the weather starting to get nice over in CO yet? I mean, not that cold isn't nice but you know what I mean... haha.
"you play as James Bons, and it's up to you to tackle assignments, team up with key allies and ultimately stop SPECTRE." This is a pinball machine, right?
*blinlbink* Ralph, you have a Pac-Man Pixel Bash, and have NEVER DONE A VIDEO ON IT?! HOW DARE YOU! :P In all seriousness, I do think a fair bit of your audience would want to know more about that, and its also something that is less known in the home arcade space than it should be. I'm not kidding, in my experience it seems less people are aware of the existence of that thing than are aware you can get a shiny new GENUINE Class of 81 cab from Chicago Gaming Company. I must encourage you to do a video on it!
Hey bud, It's actually on my list of things to do, there's quite a lot to that machine believe it or not. It will probably not be next week but the week after. I'm going to start working on it next week for sure... stay tuned, I got you man! There's some pretty cool things about the Pixel Bash that I think people might not know about. It get's into a little bit of the legal ownership issues between Namco and General Computer Corporation for Ms Pac-Man.
Hey Ralph, you know I love you man. Not sure about this, I didn't hate it, I'm just not sure. I think, because I trust you, this came off a little like an ad. Kudos to you for always trying something different, I'm sure some people will love it and again, I didn't hate it. I trust you and I watch for the authenticity, don't lose that.
I appreciate you sharing your honest opinion. I’m not going to try and change your mind but I felt it was a very real video. In the sense that I had no idea how to play 007 so I was trying to get across that I’m not worried about that so I wanted to show people with pinball, we all start from ground zero till we learn the rules of the game. The acting bits are just for fun and I felt a mod spin on the video would be fun and make it different. Bummed you didn’t enjoy it but I realize people aren’t going to like every video I do. I truly appreciate you being honest about it and I value your feedback man. 🙏🏻. Thanks for watching and please continue to bring the feedback, it means a lot to me. Thanks again!
@@RetroRalph Nah, it's a lovely table! Just a joke about "Never Say Never Again", which was an unofficial Bond movie from the 80's featuring a noticeably older Sean Connery.. The plot revolved around James Bond coming out of retirement! It's considered a sore spot in Connery's tenure as Bond.
Risking it all for me daddy??? Oooooo tissues ready lotion nice and warmed up. Its go time. Risk it for me baby risk it all…… queue radio horn siren! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 kidding. Watching now.
Stern again using influencers to sell what we cant afford. At least Ralph is up front about it.

Plenty of us can afford this. Just because you can't doesn't mean there isn't a market for this.

Holy shit man. Best production I’ve see. Yet. Wow!! Now I gotta step our game up.

Yes I have played it here.
Amazing combination of many epic films 💖

Got to play this yesterday at a local arcade in Cincinnati. I really enjoyed it, has some great shots.
This is such a good game! Played it at their CES booth and at Pinball HOF. I definitely agree with you Ralph! More fun than Venom and Foo Fighters!
Thanks for watching bro! I hope all is well man!
Not a pinball or 007 fan, but this was a fun video to watch. Love seeing mods (speaker mostly) to cabs.😊
Thanks man, I’m glad you enjoyed it… we had a lot of fun making it!
Awesome video Ralph!! Love the pinball dashboard layout with direct capture. Bond is a fun game!!!!!
Look at us. Actors. 😎

Great game. It keeps me coming back to it. Really like how deep the game is, a lot to learn, but a lot of fun. Bond James Bond is an awesome multi ball. The game keeps getting better...

I played this for the first time last weekend and enjoyed it. Tough game at first but I could see it growing on me.
It totally grew on me and with the new code updates, it's a pretty awesome game! Thanks so much for watching!
This kind of mod requires... BALLS OF STEEL :)
I admit, I barely know how to play our newer Sterns. I try to watch videos to learn, but about 10 minutes into a 2.5 hr. tutorial, my eyes just roll back into my head.

Great video, my friend, and I love your enthusiasm.

Exceptional editing work this review!!
Huge Bond fan; if I were to get a machine in the future, this would be it. Happy that the gameplay is great too
Best modern Stern since Godzilla
Boom boom 3000 is the best name for anything ever.
