The 3 air strat was my idea just to try something new. It almost paid off. Needed 1-2 more bombers from each of us to make it better. Thanks for the compliment on my 2nd bombing run and the compliment on enemy air was playing well :D made my day haha On the point of Pinpointers. They are OP with mausers. If I play Geo I build 3 pinpointers and get 10 mausers out. They just shred any radar blip in range with 99% accuracy.
I feel like it would have worked if you guys kept the pressure on. Did a few good bombing runs and then nothing for like 10 minutes letting them rebuild. Even after the fist bombing runs you can see most people didn't build any AA. Since your Sea player won top or rather he wasn't even being contested he should have pushed more into air.
@@rekrn12345 It was contested, and I had to micro extremely hard to keep pink from reentering it with hovers. Then I tried to disrupt the pushing forces by sieging the choke, but I couldn't get any vision, and my team had no spybots or cloak-tanks on their menu to offer it, while Dervish spammed air scouts on me, allowing T2 defenses to fight me off. I may have tried going into amphibious raids to hit the backline, but I was just too frustrated by my team basically freezing in place after their initial strat have failed. I felt like the moment I let go off pressure from the choke, everything would fall apart immediately.
The key lesson all viewers should take from this game is, stay cool under pressure. When you take a hit, don't go to the chat with "gg" and "it's over", don't start playing the blame game and get toxic with your team. Don't give up and just resign or sit there AFK. Just calmly rebuild, and keep contributing in whatever way you can. A personal setback is not a lost game, unless you choose to make it that. It's got to be near 50% of games I'll see a team mate take a hit and just flop instantly with the resign. When you do that you loose skill rank, even if your team then continues on to win without you (which happens a lot).
Yes. This game is not like any other rts. It really isn't over until it's over. I've seen so many players come back. If you still have a construction bot, you're still in the game.
If you know you're going to get targeted, you can use that to your advantage. That was a lot of metal for 3 players to burn on you alone, your allies could have punished that.
would love to see a mass sniper build, i did in one match where i sent half to the line while the rest went to support the front line from the back. once i had a decent anti air collection with them i marched everything across the map, i think i had close to 100 snipers and 30 mobile anti air
I feel like sometimes it might not be just because you're a youtuber, but also just because you're a good player. If you take out the best player on the enemy team's eco, it's much more value than taking out their 1 SR player's eco
To be honest, when 3 people focus you like that it's probably quite good. Means that they are wasting three whole players on one, and you're probably the best able to react and get back into the fight asap. Most average/low ranks would have essentially gg'd from that first bombing run.
still haven't understood why people don't spread out their buildings more, when there's explosion damage from buildings. It's not like you're cramped or anything. build storage near the mountains in 2x2 formations with some free space to the next 2x2 storage. it'll make it so much harder to blow up everything.
I get the "x minutes sleeping" award a lot when I'm highly active as echo/tech player. Not sure what it's based on, e.g. a single inactive unit, or time with no damage to the enemy?
@@TheRealGafferjust a throwing shit at the wall, but maybe not an offense, but a defense award? Time in none of your own structures took damage? So if you can push out units and meet the enemy elsewhere that means your base is sleeping safely.
Hey Drongo, nice vid as usual. Whats the key combo to have a group of selected builders work on different tasks when you drag build. (you do it with your consuls building pawns around 28 mins.)
At ~25min you should have pushed T3 and crushed blue as he was still pinned back. Mid had stalled so you needed another option. Air wasn't a bad call either. Rag opened things up but you should have stopped firing once it wasn't productive and refocused to boom. Sure the game was over but better to play smart full way through.
Yea I kept screaming the same thing. Like dude just go T3 and get some marauders on the field. They would have destroyed everything at that point and he had the eco for it.
exactly! looking at some of his other vids, he seems to really like going eco heavy, even when he's close to the front. One or 2 afus is enough to fuck the frontline with T3. Yet he likes to go for more afus, so he can eventually well... idrk.
Hey Drongo, how did you get that grid to appear when you're building things? Is there a setting you can check or do I need to download a widget? Thanks
Better specs and worse performance? I’m very curious about the specs of your new computer. I think I am experiencing something similar with my computer when playing aoe iv
That's probably a temporary dip. Better specs would obviously mean better performance. However new setup also means new quirks that need to be ironed out. Drivers and game settings alike. Also some hardware infrastructure tends to have better optimization for certain games or recording software. So bigger brute force if optimized worse can result in lower performance. Not an expert so dunno the individual cases but this is the general principle behind that kind of hiccup.
Drongo your build orders are great. But your raiding needs work dude. So much potential with those lighting tanks. You could have easily took out greens wind and build power there. Which would have mostly Likely cascaded into a easy victory on front by shutting dark green down for the few min it would take for him to rebuild.
just black bar the player names in post, should hopefully only take a few minutes of extra work as they never move throughout the match. thanks for the vids bro and protect yourself, being a content creator people WILL target you.
hey if you have a line to the devs try and put in a word for a streamer mode where your name gets randomized for the match but hen everyone can see who you are at the end
I frankly don't like that idea at all. Part of the fun of seeing familiar names is knowing what those players' habits are and what they're capable of. Why wouldn't everyone use streamer mode to gain little advantages like being completely unknown to enemy players?
@@HonshuHigamori the point your bring up is more a reason to have it, if you say you know that player A will always rush eco then you know how to counter them immediately, a game like this isnt just to see what other people do but to build your own skill and challenge your opponent on an equal playing ground, now player A that doesnt know you is at a distinct disadvantage for that. besides its not like it couldnt be waved for replays and seeing the true names at the end can have the wow effect of "thats who i was up against" as opposed to how Drongo here has to deal with "Find this player and make him not have fun", sounds better than "why not just make a new account so people don't know you." The real hard part about going mainly Air (3 air players this time) is that its just so cost effective to counter air with ground or static

Hi drongo, how u get those white grid lines all over the map when ur gonna build something pls thank you. searching exactly that found me nothing pls
How do you get that grid when building?
How does one interrupt a build order without breaking it, like how Drongo does with the wind gens at 1:25 to 1:31 .
With grid keys: just press space bar and place the blue print and it will be inserted first in the queue :)
Also works for other commands, eg if you want to issue a repair command without clearing the queue.
Also, you can change your username - Top right of the main menu in the account settings.
I was today's years old that I discovered combat engineers can build units on the front line.

Surrounding your Anti nuke with Converters and dittor for putting them along your afus just weakens your base and turns it into a Tinder box IMO.
