Conception | Alliance Project

The Alliance Project is the result of the many years of collaboration between vocalist Candice Reyes and saxophonist Abel Mireles. This is the first project where the couple works together aside from pursuing their visions and ensembles as leaders. The project allows contributions with New York-based musicians that both Abel & Candice have worked with, in recent years. The members in the band are pianist Oscar Perez, bassist Nimrod Speaks, trombonist Rey David Alejandre, and on drums Andrew Atkinson. The sound of the ensemble is based on the traditions of jazz, and straight-ahead style with original arrangements and compositions that allows influences from each member to be portrayed in the music.
