I have been searching for a good pantry makeover video for months and I finally have one! Thank you so much for your vulnerability and transparency in this video. I too want to add an outlet to my pantry and your willingness to show us not only how you did it, but how you should have done it will help me tremendously! Your cost-savings suggestions were perfect! Thanks again for posting this video!
I'm also not an electrician but have also done some questionable things with house wiring :) - my tip is to check the fuse rating on the lighting circuit - it's usually a lot lower than a socket circuit, so make sure running a big mixer won't just flip the trip.
Such a difference! I really like the accented countertop-esque shelf popping in a sea of white. And the understated but super convenient toe kick drawers. Great thinking and job, Brandi!
I saw your post on Instagram first and it INSPIRED me!! I have been dreaming about doing this to my own small pantry for weeks now. Came on TH-cam to research some more about creating a butler’s pantry and was absolutely ecstatic to see you had posted a video of your step by step process in doing this!! Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. I’m planning on following your design because it is so great! Thanks again from a fellow mama DIY’er!
So excited to see this video, and can’t wait for the toe kick video. My pantry is very similar and I have thought about putting in cabinets to make a butters pantry. I may also reduce the depth of the upper shelves because too many things get lost. Amazing work as always Brandi
I’m planning to make my pantry into a butler’s as well. Our pantry is the exact same measurements and shape as your’s so it was nice to see how it turned out. I do a lot of electrical and I finally spent $20 on automatic wire strippers. 🤯. They are everything I hoped they would be. 😂 I ordered them from Home Depot. Steel man self adjusting wire strippers.
Awesome project ! I shared your enthousiasme when the plug worked. In my country, every single wall is pure concrete so there is no way of adding a plug without making it a huge awful mess. We have to wire in on top of the wall and have ugly conduit / duct (I don’t know how you call it but it shouldn’t even exist 🤣).
@@EternalHarvestDecor Have you ever built a Potting Bench for an outside garden? Thanks. I see you your grandparents all the time, just haven’t met them yet.
I have! I dont have plans for one though. I know Ana White and Shanty 2 chic have some like that on their websites. Its not too bad you just need a good clearcoat for that St. George sun! haha
How big is your pantry? This looks like mine I think I have one more shelf. Where are your can goods and is there anything you would change after living with it for a time? I cant wait for the toe kick drawers!!
Thanks it’s 45”x46” and I don’t buy a ton of canned goods the ones I have are in the bin they belong to (I have it categorized by meal types ie mexican, Asian, pastas) and the others are in a cupboard.
Just found your channel through this video. Your butler's pantry turned out beautifully! I have a similar sized pantry and would love to do this! How deep is your countertop? Do you think it would be deep enough to put a chair under for a little office nook? I'm considering trying to include both since my pantry is a little bigger at 72"x64". I just want to make sure that the counter isn't so deep that it is hard to reach over since I'm short. 😄
Does that oil based white paint have a strong odor? Or, does the smell stick around? I always worry about it bothering people in the house, but there are some things I would prefer to paint w oil based that can’t be brought outside. Just curious. Thanks!
say hello, I'm a new subscriber…. I just subscribed to your TH-cam channel….. I love decoration and I would like to know if you studied for that or is it just a hobby…

Yeah so far so good! I was worried about that but checked with a few friends and it seems to be ok!

Thank you! Love the wood or butcher block look so I wanted to incorporate that somehow. Thanks for watching!

Oh man! Lol
Thank you so much!!! I’ve been dreaming of doing the exact same thing. I just sent your video to my guy 😊
Glad I could help!
Once again, great idea, great job Brandi.

brandy a question how many pounds can that pantry support?
How did you do the lower shelf? Did you put legs under it? It looks like you laid the shelf on the baseboard? Great video!
Yes I did! you’re right I put it right on the baseboard (5.5” tall) thanks for watching

Awesome! Thank you for watching, this sounds like an amazing plan! I love it. The counter top was 16" deep and thats plenty for a small desk.
Looks nice 😎💥🇺🇲
Thanks 👍

Not too bad at all, I left the door open for a bit, the stain actually lingered more than the paint
How did you do the bottom drawers… did you buy them ?
I built them and you can find that video here th-cam.com/video/uzGBPRgl7yg/w-d-xo.html
What are the measurements of this pantry. 45x46?
