He did justice to Taeyang's song and truly understand the emotions the main singer was aiming to convey. Hoshi also has one of my favorite vocal tones in Seventeen- he has a beautiful lower register.

Hoshi’s got a really unique and one of a kind voice which makes everyone go crazy over his vocals. You’d never guess that he’s not a member of the vocal unit but the performance unit, seriously how can the main dancer of the group could sing this beautifully as if he’s the main vocalist🥹😭❤️
Hoshi was originally part of the vocal unit (pre-debut), so we know he has the vocal chops. (Actually, ALL members of SVT are seriously talented vocalists. That's one of the things we are most proud of. Not all kpop groups can flex that :)

이 노래 진짜 좋아하는 노랜데 순영이 목소리로 들으니까 너무 좋았음ㅜㅜ 음색이 진짜 허스키한데 그렇다고 엄청 굵고 묵직한 허스키함이 아니라 부드러운 허스키함이어서 너무 좋다… 음색이랑 노래가 진짜 잘 어울림ㅜㅜ

Taeyang is one of my favorite soloist, and this song is also one of my fav. I love how hoshi sang it with his own style the song hit different and somehow sounds more sad because his husky vocal. I love his vocal color so much and it suit ballad songs so well.
