We need to remember there's a whole lot of difference between service and business Service is to help people get from A to B in a reasonable manner. Business is cram as meny people into the smallest place possible to gain as much profit as one can. So the two certainly do not mix, if you think I'm wrong pkease explain.

Interesting. Does this mean the LNWR 730s might actually enter service shortly? Though these were the 3 car 730s, so would be the 323 replacements not the 5 cars which as far as I know are all in LNWR livery. I've already seen sightings of ex-WMR 323s with just the branding covered up running services for Northern already.

3 vice 4 cars; 5/6 vice 8 cars. Already overcrowded trains (350s) will be even worse. Why this fixation for 3 and 5 car stock all the time? This has already happened in East Anglia where what used to be 8 cars (321s) have become 5 packed to the gills. No wonder these latest trains of the WMR are advertised as carrying more people than the 350! Loads more standing into packed shorter trains. The 3 car formations have already taken over many EUS - MKC services either as 3 vice 4 or 6 vice 8. This is a massively backward step for passengers.
