It’s about him asking for help, first without being able to voice it and then screaming it. The whole hallucination/talking to himself scene, not letting anyone know where he’s going is about him acting like he’s untouchable. Finally after he has been humbled by this horrendous tragedy he got himself into, he is graced by these fellow humans helping him, after asking for it.
And if you fall asleep, your body goes into low power mode and has a drastically lessened ability to keep you alive in this scenario. It's why paramedics do everything in their power to keep trauma victims alert and conscious.
The only thing that's keeping him alive at this point is adrenaline and it's pretty much making his body not realize he's going through shock. So yes if he rests even for a minute, he would be dead
Makes me cry every time I watch this. It really happened- that’s hard enough to believe. But his will to live is nothing short of extraordinary. I’m so proud of him and I don’t even know him.
That was a helluva movie. Reignited my Human spirit. That guy is pretty cool for sharing his story with everyone. Getting away from a bad situation is vital. Even if you lose a part of yourself, you're still human and you're still strong!
The will to survive in some people is beyond incredible, this man went through absolute hell on earth in order to survive, that takes more bravery than anything any of us have done.
Haven't watched the movie yet but this movie is calling my name... This scene makes me emotional because I never ask for help always tryna figure everything out on my own but sometimes we have to surrender to people in order to survive
I have realised why this seen hits me Although I am no where near to dire situation but I am calling for help desperately and want to get out of mess I have created and seeing someone out of this feels powerful as if I can too get out combination with top notch music
Remember watching it when I was 5, my dad panicked and said don't look so I covered my eyes but I peeked from under the pillow and saw what was happening and couldn't take and covered my eyes again
I cry every time I see him screaming for help, and his voice breaking, this man was too strong, imagine how happy he was when he found those three people, they were like angels in Aron's life.
fuck just rewatched this movie since the first time when I was like 4 years old, and it made me so grateful for life. life is beautiful and aron ralston's strength is unbelievably inspiring. when he finally gets out and is standing on the cliff just cheering and jumping, it filled me with a flood of gratitude and awe at just how incredible life truly is. we take so much for granted. this man's an inspirational survivor.
Incredibly story, movie was also a blast to watch, I've never seen somebody with so much strenghts inside and fought so hard to live for his family and friends now that's a pure legend Aron Ralston.
After the HELP ... comes a music to... UAU !! not the music, the rhytm 0f music , crescendo ,overand over ,and over ... i think this is the clue ... when u find the light ... again u are happy !!!
I keep looking at my own arm...I wonder if this is something everyone could do or something only some people could do? It's hard to imagine having enough grit....but maybe faced with death...I don't know.
Yes, even you would be capable of doing so, you cant (i cant either) imagine such thing, but i believe that humans will to survive is so huge that unless something is catastrophic like half of head being blown off, you can pull off anything.
its happened before. some girl was raped and got her arm cut off and climbed put of the ravine she was thrown into and wandered around and saw a car full of boys but they drove off cause they were pussies and were scared
Imagine being in such an awful situation and seeing a helicopter come to rescue you. I think flying one of those helicopters is one of the most fulfilling jobs k owing you are saving people.
Aron ralston was my 4 -5 grade teacher it happened in 03 but my teacher always told us always tell someone where you go. Perhaps they were. The whole story seems unreal.

Had he yelled again, he probaly would have sqved his arm
@@tomedy_official by then his arm was to far gone it was decaying while it was still attached to him
@@blakebuckley1018 I'm aware he would lose his arm either way but at least, it would have been more painless if paramedic cut it off for him.
i have cried and i still cry when i see this end... this man had be so strong
Sally Kouba this man is fake but the real one is on Google and the movie Is actually real
I cried
yui 6474 This is a film depicting the events. Why would you call a dramatisation ‘fake’?
Sally Kouba The Lord was his strength.

Fun fact. The guy at 3:00 was part of the real helicopter rescue that saved Aron Ralston.

Because he lost weight from cutting his arm makes sense
He know if he stop and rest he will colapse
Exactly what I was thinking.
Yes, he told it in his book (I finished to read it last night, very awesome, don't hesitate to read it too :))
He probably would’ve also died of shock too

One of the best performances in a survival film ever! James Franco was a god in it!
He was cheated out of GG and Oscar.
No is not
James was also god in Amber Heard, but no one says anything
One of the best endings to a movie. The music, the helicopter, and the pure determination of survival
best part is that this was how it ended to the real guy
The music swelling at emotionally poignant moments really makes me burst into tears. So good.
the genuine desperation in his voice when he called out for help - that’s acting
That wasn't acting James Franco was overwhelmed by his role.
Yeah allright theater kid chill out.
