I agree with what Zesty said in his stream , a petition is not going to move the hands of Valve , money will. It makes no sense to complain about a product with an issue yet still spend money on it. It's the case for TF2 and soon CS2 as well and this withdraw from buying keys , crates and what have you has to be constant , not just now during the movement but continuous burn for long term effects.
i would also agree if the tf2 market wasn't as different from cs2 as it is. most tf2 spenders with functioning braincells use 3rd party sites. we don't have trade locks and can even trade keys unlike cs people. the noobs spending on the in game store are a drop in the bucket compared to the actual spenders who have already been avoiding scm and thr ingame shop for ages. i don't even see boycotting the new case as much of an issue. what, people are gonna miss out on new effect combos for a month or so from a case that will be dropping them forever regardless, as new effects become case specific to the case they released with. plus the whales can just get older cases and keys from third parties for the new effect forever locked unus. if the market was more similar to cs2, i could see this working out, but, it is what it is. i was, until recently, for the idea of in person protests, but if valve keeps the new ban measures up, i don't think that it will be needed. we don't need new content, just functioning servers for those of us who don't like/ have the option to play community.
Money from a single game they don’t maintain is not gonna make the difference either. Steam as a whole gets them way more money than TF2 ever does nowadays. As much as everyone is against Weezy I see his point of view and it’s valid along with the fact MvM tourers will still tour if they want their hands at those weapons.
I don't see money swaying Valve as their primary customers are other developers and their customers but considering that they're doing silent work must mean that there's some sort of interest they have behind the moderation that they've been working on; it could even be bigger than that seeing as they're deactivating bot accounts from logging into Steam entirely, imagine if this effort could be opened up towards the third-party games that can be botted as well.

Its so nice to see the harvest map without copious amounts of bots
First time that I have ever heard of a Saxxy being deleted. I know of the Golden Wrenches for cherity, but never a Saxxy.
I am going to remain skeptical, it is to see if Valve will keep it up.
Valve Victory Imminent. Soon, this will be in the history books.
Let us keep fighting, don't let the bot hosters come back in any shape or form. Valve has a long way to go in order to win back not just the faith from the TF2 community, but the the public's trust as well since there's already so many mainstream media articles about the bot crisis. Keep spreading the word, don't stop at nothing, and let our voices be heard! #FixTF2 #SaveTF2 #TeamFortress2 #Valve
note that (according to TheWhat) that the petition will end on July 1st, and that the physical petiton will be sent to valve sometime in August (presumably because of planning and travelling issues)
a saxxy was lost
You know its gonna be good when the Plok soundtrack enters your ears
OH YEAAAA PLOK SOUNDTRACK!!!
PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW
BWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
There are still some bots, but definitely a lot less. We still have to #FixTF2
The bots are back already.
Let’s hope for another banwave very soon.
Boycot, boycot! No keys, no gambling. Just gaming
Continue the pressure. They dealing with symptoms not the disease.
Journal Entry 4: I've been waiting weeks for a response. I have also seen a lot of less mechanical beings in the area. The Authorities have finally decided to hear everyone's cries for help and have been able to go out and do my normal things today. I am finally glad to be going out and casually do some tf2 things. But I do suspect that the mechanical beings have not been defeated for good. I do think they will make a return very soon so I should get my casual tf2 things done so I do not get harmed from the mechanical beings.
Finally some movement, but I'll start celebrating if it stays like that for 2-6 months.
lets not stop yet though, we still gotta keep going until we know that they have #fixtf2.
the is not over lads dont get complacent keep posting and liking fix tf2 videos. Until Vale promises a permanent solution
Nice touch adding Plok's Beach theme (Acrylic?)
5 minutes of news, we dining well tonight.
good news, but we cant stop #FixTF2 till all bots are gone
This is all the more reason to continue piling up the pressure. The bots WILL come back in a few weeks time, valve needs to show continued commitment to dealing with this bot issue. Until then. The same plans must continue.
very huge day. I cant wait to see more changes valve will do.
