Mary Louise Parker was great in this and deeply convincing to me as a Jaded and Vulnerable Single mother at her wit's end.
On an unrelated note, I'd really like to see her and Jena Malone play a Mother and Daughter in a drama series.
Not sure whether you already knew this but, she and Jena Malone already played mother and daughter in a movie, Saved (2004). Jaded, vulnerable, single mom at her wit's end is her trade mark.
@@federico6485 It's sad to think she genuinely a Single Mother at her wit's end when she was abandoned in real life by her partner Billy Crudup while in the late stages of her pregnancy.
I always liked her but watching this again, her acting skills really stand out.
Love this film...Thanks for sharing this clip :)
Watched weeds for years had no idea this was her!
I swear I didn't know that was Mary Louise Parker. I guess I was young and didn't pay attention.
Yeah, many people may not have known that was MLP, who was sooo nice in this movie!!
Does anyone not think she went into witness protection and took the name nacy botwin that's Shane and Silas in the client ahahahahahah
Why is she ALWAYS drinking something?! Lol
Latte in Weeds, Fanta in Angels in America, vodka in Red Sparrow, beer in RIPD.. and
High Flve! $ morning obtain "
I just watched the movie "The Client". Mary Louise Parker was awful in this movie. I've never seen her act in anything I didn't like with her in it. Her acting in this movie sucks, really bad. If it wasn't for the other characters in this movie, I wouldn't have even watched it. I can't even stand the way she talks in this movie. This clip is one example of her trying to talk and is awful. I felt strongly enough about it that I intentionally got on here to comment regarding this.
I don't agree that her acting was awful, I think you mean her uncertain voice and trembles, which I partially agree, but also don't think it's awful. It became the character who has lived a tough Southern single mom and had heavy smokes. Which makes sense that her voice is low and trembling.
Mary Louise Parker did such a great job in this movie. Her character stood out the most for me.
me too! should've nominated for something
