@@wilsonluilui Thx for the follow up..sorry to hear your SANWA experience hasn't been a great one.. hopefully things will improve! Disappointing about your PC710 not zeroing.. definitely unexpected at this level.😕
About your sanwa pc700 i think it easy to add back light all you need switch 2 wires smd 1206 lights in the color of your choice and 2 copper rods for soldering the smd lights. You can use the main battery as the power source
After Darren told me about the input, I think I figured out the purpose for the transformer. Since the unit is able to data logging which would drain the battery; therefore, the AC adapter is used to provide power to keep the meter running bypassing the batteries for long time data logging. The transformer is used for as an isolation device to protect the meter and the circuit under test.
Excelente trabalho! Sempre que posso estou acompanhando. Tomara que tenha um rewiew do modelo Sanwa hg561h achei muito diferente! Gostaria de poder conhecer esse aparelho melhor. Mesmo que seja só pelo TH-cam mesmo 😇 tanks
Good review but dmm is little bit shocking, im disappointed. Could you review any brymen multimeter bm257 or brymen235 ? They are expensive i know if you review i'm will be appricated
It definitely looks that way ! SANWA CD732 is actually one of my favorite multimeters. I love the speedy bargraph and crisp display.. FAST to range and overall a really nice multimeter 👌
It's a shame how poorly PC20 performs, because it looks really good. I would definitely get one for $50 or so, even though the spec isn't that impressive. Something about its design and the color palette just resonates with me. Unfortunately it's ridiculously overpriced for what it actually can do, just like some low budget Flukes. There is one thing I wanted to ask, Mr. Walker. What's that indicator underneath the selector switch for?
@@KeepOnTesting Just a power LED? That seems a little redundant to me. I’m not an expert on multimeters so maybe someone can explain what’s the point of using a 100V to 7.5V AC power adapter which then requires an in-built transformer to power the meter?
Generally I Like Sanwa stuff. But this, too much expensive. And I hate the mA range on Volts, that's a good way to blow the mA fuse quite offen, Ask me how I know this. 👎
Looks like sanwa nowadays is off 👎👎👎. damn for a japanese reputation in terms of quality. Even the cheapest chinese cheap-o are at least have clean boards as well as soldering jobs. For the price definitely not worth for a money.

Thanks for the honest review. Just shows that even great companies can sometimes turn out duds also.

which model of probemaster tip you use for the SANWA?? is the fluke type able to use?
Yes , you can use standard Fluke tips on the SANWA. The Probemaster Test leads I use are model #8018S
Sweet-looking unit, but........I'd have to place its performance in the Top Ten Suction-Masters List. Hisss.
🤣🤣🤣
I don't know what to say. Thanks for the info on this one--good review.
Speechless eh , I was too when I opened it up! 😆👍
What is the 7.5 volt input for?
That's a proprietary Sanwa ac adapter for this particular multimeter. AD-71AC-2
overseas.sanwa-meter.co.jp/products/accessory-fuse/ad_71ac_2.html
Why led does not illuminate what,s wrong?
LED is only for optional AC 7.5v adapter.

Bhushan that's a great question, I've already emailed SANWA for an explanation on the transformer..nothing yet.

i was shocked with its performance, but not in a good way.. and the glass fuse, oh my.. 😨
Not what I was expecting either!
and on teardown we saw the reason why it so quiet on continuity mode, bludy sticker on pieso!
I was really disappointed with the internals on this dmm..
I noticed the sticker on the piezo buzzer also. I wonder if that was meant to be removed after cleaning of the circuit board was completed.
I think PC20 has less performance than CD732.
