I'm a grown man who still loves The Little Mermaid, but I myself got to meet Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel! Very down to Earth, person. Got my pic taken with her and wasn't even afraid to do so! Met her at the New York Comic Con and took a photo with her and circulated it all over social media to prove it! Well, being a Disney fan, I've always wanted to meet a Disney Legend.
This is my favorite interview of the day!! So awesome seeing Katie Wilson interview Disney royalty!! I love that Jodie said one of the Katie's favorite voice lines from The Little Mermaid, I could tell that made her day!!
Yes, they are the best because I know that we can get through this tough time together, and never ever forget each other. Thank you for so much Jodi Benson, Paige O'Hara. We all love you.
These two interviewers really missed an opportunity when they were discussing Disney's acquisition of Fox, to talk about 'Thumbelina' which Disney now owns since acquiring Fox. Jodi provided the voice of Thumbelina for the film.
Unfortunately, that film is so forgotten that most people don't even realize it exists. Jodi deserves as much recognition for that as she does for Ariel and Barbie (and Polly Baker if you want to add her Broadway roles.)
I love Jodi Benson, and Paige O'Hara because I hope that I have a chance to meet my life hero (Jodi Benson) at a convention in Denver, Colorado. Share my life stories with (Jodi Benson,) and Paige O'Hara, Irene Bedard, and Linda Larkin too thank you for so much, I love you all. I'm starting to cry on this planet.
I always liked that quote too, but I agree with the person who picked "Daddy, I love him!" I don't know how many takes Jodi did for that line, but she totally nailed the take that made it into the film. She did it in exactly the tone that a real teenage girl would say those words in that situation. (It's not quite the same here as in the film, but still not bad.)
@@hotwax9376 I like your profile photo. Jenny/XJ9 is easily my favorite female character and one of my all time favorite fictional characters (top 5 worthy).
40 years, so they've been friends even before they've been Disney Princesses!
About 1979!

Agreed a million times over
Ariel & Belle 💖
When all these princesses are together it's like the endgame for all their Disney villains
The best @ 7:20
These disney movies last forever ❤️
I love Jodi but I love Paige too and she really needed to let her speak more!
Well...Paige is quiet?
In the second half of Little Mermaid 1989, Ariel's actions spoke almost as loud as a whisper.
21:59 Awesome range Jodi.
❤️

I got to meet Linda Larkin.
@@craigharvey-gurr337 this is really cool.
I can’t believe I missed this!!! I bought tickets just for this and I missed it!!!
I had to attend two funerals over the same weekend
Not me because Did I attend a funeral for a member of the Ferguson/Anderson family? No.
Ariel and belle forever
No remake will beat the classics and Miss Piggy should be a Disney princess! :D
2:02 Awh,. Howard..😭😭😭😭
Yay Jodi!
Jodi got the sequel and prequel movies mixed up. I think she meant to say "Sequel" when she was expecting her daughter.

6:23 I've always wanted to ask Jodi what her favorite quote is. Guess I found the answer to my question.
Maybe it's "I like to brush my hair with a fork- I mean dinglehopper"

Ohh?
just doesn't sound right anymore
They're not in the moment. It's become a little canned until it's real. It's like "Let it Go" in the Movie vs in concert.
oh well then lets get them bring back the voices
@@captainAlex258 They do it well when it counts. When it's real.
I guess so
I mean, voices are going to change over 30 years of time....
