- Orange County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call on February 26 from Maddie Soto's mom as she reported her missing. Bodycams were recording as deputies spoke to Maddie's mom, Jenn Soto, and Stephan Sterns. Sterns, Jenn Soto's boyfriend, is now charged with sex crimes involving Maddie and her murder. Odd that you "hate to say" truth just because it reflects poorly on another woman. Female in-group preference is massive and you just illustrated that well-established fact. Another fact is that kids who do not live in the same home as their real dad are 40 TIMES more likely to suffer abuse and/or fall victim to homicide, yet women still insist that children's best interests be totally ignored and that mothers be favored for custody.
@@-MattMcCauley-all I would say is that birth fathers are no less innocent when forced upon with child custody, I sat as a juror for one such case, the father ran a halfway house full of felons and acted as a religious figure for them, and on top of that unsettling environment, he s/a’d his daughters regularly

This rehearsed and ridiculous excuse of not being seen dropping her off as Maddy is embarrassed by her family car so likes to be dropped off around the block so nobody sees the vehicle is a straight up lie I'd wager. Not only to explain why no cctv catches Maddy being dropped off, but I also don't for one second believe that Maddy was that kind of kid. She comes across as very well behaved, polite and empathic and wouldn't want to hurt her mothers feelings so would never say that. I suspect it's a well crafted lie to explain why he can't be seen dropping her off. Ugh, these people are the worst.
The way the mother greeted the officer with "Hey there" when she was about to report her daughter missing really rubs me the wrong way and that monster standing there with his arms crossed was a definite giveaway. I feel like the mom is just as guilty, no way I'm letting a man share a bed with my daughter!! And the fact while looking for a pic of her daughter she nonchalantly mentions she wasn't at her 13th birthday party and didn't even have any of the pics saved to her phone 🤦♀️🤦♀️

Why is she so calm?! My son was 20 mins late getting home on a day we had confusion over walking and being picked up and I lost it. I was in hysterics thinking something happened to him. Her school notifies parents at the END of the day, unfortunately.
All schools here notify at the end of the school day because sometime students miss part of the day for appointments & stuff. Also, my mom is a teacher & said they aren’t required to turn in attendance after each class, but by 3pm.

They dont call in the mornings, they send an automated message once schools out to inform you your child was absent that day.Always around five something.
Up here in canada, as soon as morning attendances is complete, parents/caregivers are called immediately if their child is absent. It was started here when my oldest first started kindergarten, 25 years ago. There's also a safe arrival line at every school, JK through 12, to report your child's absence beforehand ifvthey are sicknor have an appointment etc.

Thank you for explaining the video that was originally released stating it was her in the church parking lot. I’m curious-how long did that prolong them actually finding her? We now know that she was already deceased at this point, but the family was told that she was most likely there and walked off, and the police were working as if she had been there.
If the video was really blurry, then by all means a family member should have looked at it so assumptions weren't made as they were by this officer and church people. Why would anyone think it was believable that he would have dropped her off somewhere other than her school??

I don't know. The schools normally have a recorded voicemail about absences out by 10am. You know your kid is not at school before the end of the day. Mom is super composed; I would be in total meltdown by nightfall.

The mom should be locked up as well. The detectives should rule out her supposed anxiety by checking if she's had appointments with her doctor and seeing if she's taken medication.
