    It went into the vacuum chamber as a wet mould with wax and came out dry with metal inside ? You left out a heap of steps, melting out the wax, casting the metal!

    It's a skill to fabricate cast partials the traditional way.My hats off to these techs.We had some casts done digitally,3d printing.The quality just wasn't there.

    There's a lot of work that goes into a partial and the Dr's pay hardly nothing to the lab for them.

    Holy shit yeah the technician does 98% of the work and gets paid Jack compared to the dentist. When you see the process of the making involved the majority of the money should be going to the Craftsman doing all that work.

    When did that blue plastic skeleton become metal?

    • @MRTAILRED
      @MRTAILRED 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      He most likely cast it in a centrifuge. He invested the wax in some form of stone, burnt it away, heated a metal in a centrifuge and cast it. The metal replaces the void the wax left behind

    • @davenhunter99
      @davenhunter99 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I still don't get where the metal comes in to play? That metal framework just appears out of nowhere because it wasn't there before you put the paint plaster or whatever it is in that cylinder with the mold in it. After it hardens takes it out beats it off with a hammer and voila it's metal? I'm just trying a blank my mind doesn't want to work that way or something I'm not sure how it happens

      Partials and dentures are the worst! Horrible. toothless or implants seem to be the only alternative. Implants cost a kings ransom.

      @Leo-pd9en 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im sorry but from s dental technician view it is not such a bad thing to wear. But the way he has done it is aesthetically not good. I would hide the clasps so they are invisible.
