I really don't know how anything anarcho- or libertarian gets considered left without using a pretty unusual definition of those terms. I guess they are considered left in that they don't necessarily believe in capitalism. But in broader terms it is the government that imposes restrictions that prevent everything from being laissez-faire capitalism. I guess the anarchists think everyone would magically agree to avoid a tragedy of the commons and the libertarians, I'm pretty sure they use a bit of a different definition because otherwise the contradiction is just blindingly obvious.

It's funny how Destiny starts taking direct action by canvassing and mobilizing people and now all of a sudden people are losing their shit more than ever before. That whole, "why don't you get off your ass and do something that's not online" bit that guy was spewing? Pure projection. He's certainly not running a genuine charity, so how else would he be supporting himself as he suppose goes around doing his "direct action?" Sure, he has a job, but do we believe this guy is working all day and selflessly giving it all away? Props on some level if he is, but on the flip side, I'm guessing he'll be the one in need of financial help if he every has even a minor medical emergency... we know charity doesn't fix these things, it is a longtime right wing talking point that has been debunked over and over again. It's not like we haven't solved this kind of problem, but both this guy and the right wing seem to agree that we shouldn't possibly use systems that work. s/ We couldn't possibly use taxes levied by an elected government to solve these problems... /s
