9:27 if you want to put an item that is hard to get like netherite ingots or even netherite blocks, put more of the unique block until the redstone line activates then wait for the redstone line to deactivate, take one of the unique blocks out and put the rare item.
I agree. This item sorter is great. I'm putting one together for my skeleton farm that I converted into a (whatever frozen skeletons are called lol) farm. And they drop gold armor (all options except shield), iron armor (except shield) leather armor (not sure there's any real purpose for these honestly...without a way obtain the leather for use to make books) and Bows. (As well as arrows with 15% slow effect). Anyhow...I'm making a furnace set up to use the bows as fuel to melt the metals into nuggets. But the question is...does it sort all gold (helmet for this example) into nuggets or will it sort out the higher quality with (whatever property effect)?

With the item sorter I do recommend making storage silos if you are going to being using common items like dirt, the various stone types, wood, etc. cause with those items the two chests will fill up really quickly especially of you have wood and cobblestone farms.

Do you mean something like "all food chest"? If so, you'd first need to sort food into separate chests (eg. bread, steak, melon, etc.) and then use a 2nd layer of hoppers to consolidate it into a single chest of "all food".
What if you want to make it where everything wood will go into one chest ? For example if I had oak stairs and jungle slabs and I put into the chest would it all still go to my “wood” chest
ive did it before, its a pain, usually bring the main hopper line higher, because you'll need a second line for wood to go into the wood chesst. main line will turn into the redstone side, and have it filter into the wood line, which is lower than main line, that line will go directly into wood chest. i usually build these underground because they can get huge and expensive. (use to dupe iron just to make hoppers).

You should make a red stone crop harvester. I find it long and tiring to do it by hand.

Question regarding The auto sorter, why is there 40+ of the items I first add to the sorter stuck in the hopper?
Because of how comparators work. Just add more of the renamed block until only ONE of the item you are sorting remains in the hopper.

Short question to the storage system: does the top doublechest also fill with the items or will only the bottom one fill up?
Once the bottom fills up, the hopper feeding it will get full, and then the top chest will be fed items.
