    Just my observation (maybe I'm very wrong) but it seems to me the great Aussie adventure has brought your family closure together (pardon the pun), great informative video, am waiting on my motorhome can't wait for delivery day. Hope to see you all out there sometime in the new year (2024). Stay safe 👍

    First off, love you two & the girls. You’re amazing parents & the girls are so lucky to have parents that have given the most amazing experiences.
    I absolutely love all the videos you’ve shared, they are awesome. Thank you for doing the Q&A, it’s answered so many questions I’ve had, especially about the equipment you used to make the videos. We’re in the planning stages & you have made the fire in the belly burn even more ❤❤❤❤🐾

      Hello Pauline,
      That's the most sacred compliment anybody can say to a parent. Thank you xx
      Well, we are just simple, humble, loving people just travelling through time. Nothing more. We keep it real, authentic, and make our videos with love, and content that our kids, and their kids, would be proud of (NO g strings!)
      Thank you for being with us. More to come ♥

    Very informative video, and a lot of useful information too. Shannon & Lisa maybe in your time out sessions, you might like to think about writing a book on how you got to each place, was it worth it, food prep on the road, home schooling tips, bush mechanic tips, places that were overrated etc lol I am sure this would keep you occupied forever!! Do these sessions seperately and compare notes and then compile. This way each different prospective is obtained and will give others some insight on your experiences. I am sure kids had their favourite things they could add into the book too. just a thought lol but no matter what your time out sessions consist of in the future, I will always look forward to enjoying your videos and admiring this great land. Off myself soon, still some things left to do...as always before I finally get away!

    Absolutely loved watching your travels. We have a campervan and are just doing a few weeks here and there atm and really enjoying it. One question.... when you did your lap did you have someone look after your house and garden ?

    • @campwinnietravellingaustralia
      @campwinnietravellingaustralia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Victoria. Thank you! Yes, we have family living nearby, and we have great neighbours, so we were very fortunate to have great people around us. We didn't rent out our house whilst we were gone, but we should have!

    Hi.. great informative video.. and your van looks great with the upgrade.. did you ever think about swapping out for a 4x4 and caravan at any stage along the way? Or is it once a moterhome always a moterhome? Cheers

    • @campwinnietravellingaustralia
      @campwinnietravellingaustralia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Phil,
      We never wanted for anything more than what we have, as it got us into 90% of the areas that the majority of people doing the lap go in to. We saw set ups so awesome that they looked like they were preparing for some sort of military mission! However, we were in the same camp grounds that they were 🤷‍♂️
      A cheap motorhome has more advantages than what people realise
      We did a video on this very topic last year

    Thanks for all your helpful info ….how did you go with payload
    Cheers mark and Mandy

    • @campwinnietravellingaustralia
      @campwinnietravellingaustralia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark and Mandy
      Yes, payload is a very difficult one. My suggestion is to lay every single thing that you have planned to go into the van, out on your driveway, and take ONLY what you need. When you are on the road, if you buy things for the van, then something has to come back out of the van. No exceptions. Monitor your weight always. Carry only the water you'll need for that stretch. Keep Grey water empty.
      Remember, nothing is more important than food, water, gas, diesel, some decent clothes (all seasons), and great conversations!
      Drink as much beer as physically possible to keep the weight of the cartons to bare minimum 😏 (seriously though, use aluminium cans, glass bottles are a no no!)
      Get it weighed at a public weigh bridge if you're worried. We did before we left. We were just on our limit 🤏

    • @markdavis5846
      @markdavis5846 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@campwinnietravellingaustralia thanks for your reply we have a payload of around 650kgs with two adults and one 11 year old. So trying to work out everything is a challenge…beer tip won’t be a problem as the cases don’t stay full too long 😀

    • @campwinnietravellingaustralia
      @campwinnietravellingaustralia  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markdavis5846 ha ha fantastic! 🍻
      When we left NSW, by the time we got to Kangaroo Island SA, we were already giving stuff away to fellow campers that we just didn't need. Yep, we over-packed. Literally everyone does first up. I have since seen so many travellers loaded with things they'll never use. 2 x LPG gas bottles and 2 x spare caravan wheels, water in your tanks, generator, etc, are probably unnecessary if you are just staying in caravan parks or showgrounds all the time 🤷‍♂️
