I can relate to wanting to do so much, and just not getting there, lol. I only did 58 hours in 2023, and intended to do more in 2024... and then did worse with only 36 hours. This year, my goal is around 220 hours... 😳We'll see how that goes, lol.
OMG, HI!!! I also am studying French and Spanish, and in 2025, I really wanna study them as hard as I can and also improve my English. My main goal for each language is to learn advanced, academic, and business English, know the basics, and consume a lot of French midia and have an intermediate level and also consume midia in Spanish. Perhaps I'll also start learning LIBRAS, which is a non-verbal language from my country, Brazil! Hope you'll improve all of your languages! You're such a sweet person! Happy New Year!!!! 💚💚
I like knowing others language goals for the new year. Good video. I am studying japanese. And my goal this year is to get out of the pre-intermediate level. I'm slowly crawling my way out of it but I am so ready to stop talking like a 5 year old lol. I was studying korean as well this year, but also realize I had to let it go if I wanted my japanese to really improve this year and it did. I can always come back to korean later.
yes!!!! prioritizing one language over another is hard (like picking a favorite child lol) but i think it’s sometimes necessary to improve! best of luck with your japanese!
Woohooo! I love New Year Language Goals 🎉Good luck to everyone 😊😊 You can get great language audio input here on youtube with bilingual stories, they will read a sentence of a story in English then read the same sentence in target language. Polyglot Beats on youtube does that well for multiple languages and there other channels for specific languages... its been helping me get passive listening and learning when going on walks... time is by FAR hardest obstacle in language learning - anything that can get us some passive learning is a plus 😊
i've never heard of polyglot beats!!! that is perfect, i will 100% be looking at this. i agree about time being the hardest thing in language learning - passive learning is definitely an important part of the puzzle. thank you so much for this comment and your recommendation!!!!
Hiii!!! I would recommend you to read harry potter in french and/or spanish because it's a book that nearly everyone has read, and it's much easier if you already know bits of the story!
i love this suggestion - i tried to read it in french and spanish before but it was years ago and my level wasn’t where it needed to be. happy new year!!
Great New Year Language Goals! It's good that they're specific and concrete, not just: I want to improve/be better ❤YT channels Easy Spanish/French etc are good for input of natural speech. For 2025 I'm gonna work on my Spanish (I also chose mexican spanish) as I got Spanish friends and I want to visit them one day as well as I'm starting German to communicate with my family there 😆 Good luck with your learning journey and looking forward to the aforementioned vlogs
i ADORE easy spanish and easy french - those dual subtitles are coming in clutch. yay mexican spanish!!!!! so cool that you’re learning german to connect with family and spanish to connect with your friends!!! happy new year and i wish you the best of luck with your language learning goals!!
I've always prefered Memrise to Duolingo so I support you in the decision to cut off Duolingo lol! I'm also learning French and it's my main focus language. I'd love to get better at writing so one goal I have is to journal in French every day and also make corrections on my mistakes to hopefully improve. Good luck with all your language goals in the new year!
yessss french!!!! and yeah memrise just has more applicable vocab for sure. happy new year and i wish you the very best of luck with your language learning!!!!!
Best of luck achieving all of your goals!!
