I think they should start singing their partially and fully Japanese, older songs in their U.S concerts. Plenty of their American fans would love to see them perform those songs here.
I would really want to hear songs like Liar and Karasu live! I think they could totally do jaoanese songs if they had a few headline shows here. or even just have one song in their support set.
It's perfectly understandable, though. They're looking for new American fans, so One Ok Rock needs to get potential fans comfortable with them before doing anything that would otherwise be alienating. I don't really care about the lyrics. However, I do like their earlier material better because it wasn't as hit-or-miss as their newer songs.
I will patiently wait for that time when they would sing their part Japanese , part English classic songs in the US, and the audience would still sing along with them.
Naya Merai They actually did both the english and japanese version of some songs and fan favorites in New York for their tour! I was nervous that it would be all English but they threw in the Japanese verses as well. I saw them that night...so much fun.
If I'm the interviewer, I don't think I can interview taka. He's so adorable. And I will faint right there if he looked into my eyes that way. Hahahahahaha
Who cares Taka speaks like a native English speaker. What do you mean by native⁉️ American? British? or Indian? Singaporean? Make me sick! How many of you guys speak Japanese like native Japanese speakers? As long as he sings cool songs, it's okay to me.
Taka's English levelled up! I can only imagine the hardships he's been through learning English. Keep it up Taka-chan! Us OORers will forever support ONE OK ROCK!
This is a very good interview, thanks AMBY. You asked your questions very well, whereas in some interviews, Taka is like "What's that again?" and then asks the interpreter further. But here, he's so relaxed and was able to express himself well. Thanks AMBY :)
HunterWSkating How did you feel? Anyway yeah they could play it live, but I hope they will also be able to play on the radio their Japanese songs too :)
Ahh I love how the interviewer was so casual and chill even a fan of One Ok Rock! Also the questions she asked are questions I would ask Taka lol so I want to say thanks 😁👍🏼
the way he stare though, i could faint! lol. His staring probably means 'ok i understand what she's saying', but its so heart fluttering. lol. Especially at 5:00 , when he said "just chill out, relaxing..." then he stared "...maybe..." then he stared again. And makes me thinking he's probably thinking "maybe with u"...lol...ok too much watching shoujo-anime.
The interviewer アリーシャ(Alicia?) is awesome! I knew Taka's English is getting better so quickly already, but I guess he could talk relaxed and comfortably because of her. My native language is Japanese and English is my second language. I would like to talk English like her.
Oh..that's why their song this lately got huge differences from the previous albums. They got producer for their 35 and this coming soon album. But no matter what, I still love them. We love you ONE OK ROCK! ★
Wait so his hair is back to being black? Cuz like he had silverish bluish whitish hair in the insta videos of him learning to cook and he said that in the interiew he learned it yesterday?? Was that temporary hair colour? Also one of the few interviews in which taka actually answered the questions correctly, he usualky gives extrememly vague answers that are not related to what he was asked, his english is really improving :-) all the best taka!
Taka's English is better than before!! but ...but I study more more more hard... 。 I can listen word Taka said's interview 。 but!! I can't understand translation almost of them. omg... 。 頑張ります!
May I ask something? Some people say they prefer One Ok Rock songs sung in Japanese. That's because you are from Japan and like lyrics more understandable? If not, what are the points for your preference? I'm from Japan and just got curious.
+miwabc I think it's the different language. It's interesting to have a new song, and you don't know when a English lyric comes and when a Japanese, it sounds more interesting, more special and not usual, you don't have only this or only this, you have two languages, both sound good, but sooo different. And you don't hear Japanese much in Europe (where I live). Anyway I need for the Japanese lyrics translations xD I'm learning Japanese since 3 years, but my English is still better (I only had 3 years English at school, but the most things I learned by the internet and by myself) :D And my native language is German.
I'm from Philippines, I prefer the japanese versions because when they perforn it on stage I feel like they can connect more of their feelings that way.
+naitomea14 Thank you for your reply! Oh, yes, the uniqueness can be very interesting. K-pop singers often sing in Korean and Japanese in a song when they perform here. I do think that's interesting and I can tell the theme of the song from its Japanese parts. Many Japanese singers put English in their songs like OOR does but generally with shorter phrases. Well, I do hear Spanish phrases in songs from the US, too. Using lyrics of different languages can make a song rarer and more interesting. I just didn't notice that for OOR songs because my native language is right Japanese, overflowing all around here :D
+naitomea14 I heard lady gaga's g.u.y. has some lyrics, around the end, of unknown language to myself. I thought the sound was stylish and guessed that was German. I checked the lyric now and that was German :) Besides your native language, German, you study two more languages - respect! I don't have energy for anther language x)
miwabc Yeah, many US songs use spanish or portuguese. French with English is also very popular. I didn't know that Lady Gaga used German xD Okay, usually I don't listen to her, but I checked out the lyrics, now, and you're right, she says; Achtzehn (eighteen), Sechzehn (sixteen), Drei (three), Eins (One) and Nein Zedd! (Nein=No) but I don't know what Zedd means, I think it could be a name, maybe :D German and English are not that different, for Germans it's easy to learn English :D But Japanese is much heavier to learn. Not only because of the Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana, you have a very different word order. German and English have almost the same. For Japanese i'ts much easier to learn Chinese, than to learn English, because it's similar, right?
This is so random but the way he is sitting is the cutest
Sophie Ballou i’m late but true
I'm too late but true
I'm very late but true
I'm late too but true :v
I’m late, but true true
he's so cute arggg! Taka's English is so much better now ^^
+yongvip18 Yes! I'm so much surprised by the improvement!
I think they should start singing their partially and fully Japanese, older songs in their U.S concerts. Plenty of their American fans would love to see them perform those songs here.

Ha!
Taka's accent and pronunciation are perfect... like native speaker.
lekhac phuoc Exceptionally really well for a Japanese but not perfect lol dude just like any Japanese his 'Ls' are still pronounced as 'Rs'
He actually sounds like a cartoon character but his diction is goof for a Japanese
Who cares Taka speaks like a native English speaker. What do you mean by native⁉️ American? British? or Indian? Singaporean? Make me sick! How many of you guys speak Japanese like native Japanese speakers? As long as he sings cool songs, it's okay to me.
The way Taka is sitting...lol he's so cuuuutttteeee 💕

Loved how relaxed Taka looks in this interview.
And man, his English has really gotten so good 👍
+Keiko Igarashi Glad you enjoyed the video!
Taka's English levelled up! I can only imagine the hardships he's been through learning English. Keep it up Taka-chan! Us OORers will forever support ONE OK ROCK!

I really want to hear Japanese songs in america. Those songs are part of what make them and I think this country needs to hear them.
This band always brings me to tears, in a good way.
Seriously. One ok rock does something to me that I can't explain
I saw ONE OK ROCK twice, first at van's warped tour in 2014, and I recently saw them on tour with Issues. Best live performance ever!
Your interviews with Taka are really good. You don't ask stupid questions that he has a hard time understanding which makes for a great interview.
途中から両膝立てて座っちゃうところ大好き
Still one of the best english OOR interviews. the interviewer was super relaxed and sweet and taka looked super comfortable.
Thank you so much! I actually have a new interview with Taka coming out next week!

I CANT STOP FEEL EXCITING ABOUT THE NEW ALBUM!! I HAVE ALL OF THEIR ALBUMS AND I CANT WAIT NO LONGER FOR ANOTHER ONE!!
This is a very good interview, thanks AMBY. You asked your questions very well, whereas in some interviews, Taka is like "What's that again?" and then asks the interpreter further. But here, he's so relaxed and was able to express himself well. Thanks AMBY :)

I LIVE IN TORONTO REPRESENT!!!!!!!
Haha!
I was born in 2000, so I don't get the whole "represent" thing. What does it mean in that context? I do know it's supposed to be a cool word.
MeowTheRainbowX Lol im just meaning like since she said Toronto in the video i got excited and i live in Toronto, so shes repping our city lol
lol I'm also from 2000 and I'm confused why you had to mention that xp

Oh, shifted to two legs up!!!

Umm Taka sounds nothing like this in his music videos when talking english.....
I think it's because he practices it more before speaking in the music videos, I noticed that too :)
