Tom must have been learning and trying so hard to match Jason's vocals. most of us didn't think he need to, but he did it for us. someone we didn't think we need but we don't deserve. mad respect to him and this band in general for continuing
I think they played it safe getting a vocalist to match Jason's vocals. They had a chance to reinvent themselves and they decided not to, kind of disappointing

The new additions to the line up absolutely fucking slap. New Vocalist has slotted in excellently and Danny's vocals are top tier as always, Big inspiration! gotta see them again soon!
The overall sound of the band was always going to change with Tom taking on cleans. But I'm a huge of this new sound. People whining about "Oh it's just an average this average that" Bury Tomorrow is a collection of people that will always be at the forefront of Metalcore to carry the genre on where Killswitch left it at. A package deal of the hardest breakdowns, best hooks, story-esque lyrics and amazing melodics. With DEATH and LIFE you should be able to recognize the band is as it always was if not even better, showing growth. If 1 vocalist/rhythm guitarist change is enough for you to change your mind that Bury Tomorrow is not any of these things, you weren't a fan of it in the first place. Been bumping with these guys since Portraits, and sticking with them to the end.
dude has a great voice, nails the vocals live and can play guitar well, sure it isn't the same dude but shit happens and not everyone will like it but i really enjoyed the change
Man. I was so nervous when I just found out they had a new vocalist cus I’m about to see them live in two months for the first time and had no clue. But this dude definitely does the role well and I’m now SUPER stoked for this concert again
I saw Bury Tomorrow in Warsaw, Poland and Daniel had us all interlock arms and jump together. We are all together in life, and it was awesomefor me, an American, to join arms with a Polish person I didn't know and rock out. Metal brings us together!!!!
Been listening top Bury Tomorrow for at least 10 years and man has their screamer put in the work. Dude is a MONSTER now. Also, new clean vocalist is doing a stellar job. 10/10 performance and energy
Can’t wait to see them again in October with this new format. Even though I have watched them evolve since I was introduced to them in 2009, Jason going was sad. But I’m loving the new format, and Dani’s vocals are more ferocious and simply incredible. Tom does a great job too. I feel like they are more energised. BT for life man 🤟🏻
2007 for me ;) watching them in little shows of a hundred people, first album still my favourite. Shame it’s not on Spotify so I have to listen to the cd :p
100%. I love Jason, but actually Tom is probably more faithful to the melodies and phrasing of the recordings than he was. Jason's actual singing voice was more to my liking, but he often adapted the melodies/phrasings live (probably to make it easier to sing and play)

Black Flame onwards had a lot synth stuff in the background on the record, which they used tracks for live. I'd also like to see Tom down the front with Dan for a lot of the choruses etc

The separation hurt like an actual couple breakup. I love BT regardless, though. The new singer is also great at what he does. Another intriguing thing I'd like to comment on is that I noticed that on Spotify, BT lost over 34,000 listeners in a matter of just two weeks. I only use Spotify for listening to podcasts and decided to follow BT to support them and have been tracking the numbers since then (I use another app to listen to music). When I started following them, they had over 640,000 followers, and in my mind, those numbers were just gonna go up since they are absolutely fantastic. I'm not sure if losing this many followers so fast is typical or if something is up. I initially thought that maybe it still has to do with Jase's departure.. Perhaps I'm just overthinking, but lemme know if you guys have any thoughts on this...
Honestly nothing compares to jason. Bury tomorrow had the best screams with Dani and the best cleans with Jason since Portraits in 09. But like with most bands and line up changes im willing to give Tom till his second album with them to fully judge him. After recording Seventh Sun and then touring im sure/ hoping he got really good and brings it more on the next album bc Seventh sun was ok but nowhere near Black Flame or Cannibals

I miss the old clean vocal too... New vocalist is good, but it was Jason who made the group special in sound, his voice was perfect for the sound of the songs.. There is no zest in the new vocalist.. I'm sorry if this offends you, but it's true.
It’s not “true” it’s your opinion. Jason was one of many parts of this band, he’s moved on and so have the band. Tom is doing a great job filling his shoes, and he sings Jason’s parts to the best of his ability. He could use his natural singing tone for the older stuff, but he tries to replicate it as best he can and we should appreciate the extra effort on his part
Dude is doing an awesome job filling the spot, i feel the current setup might be the reason it feels a bit off. Like in "We can`t just put him in the back singing a couple of parts so we will give him some percussion items and a synth or else it will look weird". I hope they will find a way to make the setup a better fit eventualy. If not, still one of the best bands around imo.
So a label from the US tried to tell them how to be and they said no. So now they won’t tour the US? I’d like to know if there’s more behind it or if they’re just a bunch of cry babies. I used to love this band until I found out they don’t come anywhere near the US.
