    It's grest to hear someone appreciate the built in mic quality of the Pocket 3. It doesn't often get mentioned. It is also worth mentioning that the camera can record external mics and the internals on separate tracks for later mixing. It's a four track audio recorder which also happens to do video!
    The small base is great for attaching to a tripod allowing the P3 to be clipped on and off instantly, and when attached to the camera it provides a better grip if not using the battery handle. On its own the P3 is so tiny to hold.
    Now I will check out your Amsterdam video. In the last century (!) I used to engineer classical music recordings there from time to time. Now I live in Australia so I can no longer pop over to Amsterdam from London!

    I just got mine and I love it for all the reasons Keegan stated. I have the original (large) DJI Osmo and have had a lot of fun with it but now - WOW - move over Spielberg. I also got the combo kit and a set of K&F filters. ND filters are a must have to increase this little monsters dynamic range. 90% of the time I'm shooting in D-Log M but with only two changes to the factory mode, anybody can shoot amazing footage. Those two changes are sharpness to -2 and noise reduction to -2 as Keegan points out. You can save up to five different modes which comes in handy when I'm changing environments on the fly. I give this little camera a 5/5 and two thumbs up! Don't let the size fool you. Wait until you try the two modes of panoramic picture taking. Yes, this little monster takes great pictures too. On DJI's site, I downloaded their D-Log M to Rec.709 color grading LUT that I recommend you get. Happy trails, Keegan, keep up the good work.

I hesitate a lot between this Dj Osmo Pocket 3 and the new Insta Ace Pro 2 which has very good assets like the possibility of being waterproof up to 12 meters (So in the rain no problem) and a Pure Video Mode which seems excellent in low light. If you have the possibility to make a Comparison of these two cameras it would be cool!

      i don't think filters are too stackable. unless you have solid ND, some kits might be small enough to allow 2. for the VNDs I use, you can only fit one. I guess if you don't turn off the OP3 you could stack them.

      @@KeeganRobin I'm stating the obvious... but there's basically 2 camps... those that maybe come from more of a photography background and like that "bokeh" look... and those that are more action cam oriented and prefer everything in focus. I don't think there's a right or wrong... just personal preference. I mean some people literally pay hundreds of dollars for a single lens on full frame cameras that produce that blur/bokeh so there's certainly a market for that "look" out there. DJI seems like a decent compromise... you can get that blur in the vlogging/selfie format but flip it around and you can still get those clear shots of scenery/landscapes etc.

    I’m looking for a small action camera, not for action, but for mall walking tours, city walks and walks at night in the city lights. I want the pocket 3, but also considering buying the ace pro but then the action 5 dropped. Do you think the pocket 3 is a good option for evening and night walking videos? And mall walking?
    I’m also considering the new DJI Action 5. Or both!
    Thank you for any advice. Great video!

    Quick question to the comment floor:
    I've been looking at getting a camera like this for some time. I have a small family and would love to be able to record short videos without really needing to 'think' about the equipment (hands off being in the moment). However, as with most video/photo equipment, you need time after the fact to put in to 'developing' the footage/photos.. and I don't have that luxury any more.
    Would this be a good video capturing device for me given the above?

    • @KeeganRobin
      @KeeganRobin  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely. That’s what I love most about it. No distractions just shoot and put it away. I like it better than my phone because I shoot so much that my phone battery dies super quickly in the day but now that i shoot with the Osmo pocket the battery lasts all day

    • @KeeganRobin
      @KeeganRobin  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      And if you use the Osmo pocket three app, you can quickly transfer all of the images to your phone to have an apple or Google Photos

      @@KeeganRobin thanks for the replies! I might look at selling some old gear to fund the purchase. I am a little reluctant to buy now because the Pocket 3 was released November last year so there may be a new one around the corner that would either be better (probably not with how iterative tech is these days) or push the price down of the Pocket 3.

    For the 10-bit color, you shoot the video after you adjust the settings or afterwards as a post-production thing? I'm thinking about getting one for my Melbourne trip, but I am by no means a vlogger. I'm just interested in using it to film my experience at the Australian Open next year. Do you use the wide angle lens adapter often when shooting videos?
