Emergency Room Visit | July 2023

**WARNING: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS CONTENT THAT MAY MAKE YOU QUEAZY** Included is video of Everleigh getting her bones reset by the ER doctor. There is no gore but they are NOT easy and you can see her arm “bend” back as the doctor works it.
Within an hour of getting to NJ, mid PCS move, Everleigh slipped and landed perfectly on a root and snapped both bones in her forearm. Don’t ask me what kind of break it is because I don’t remember. All I remember is seeing both of those bones broken and my stomach dropping completely out of my body. I have never broken a bone and to see my daughter with TWO in her arm just broke me. I remained strong because I knew if I lost it she would. She was so damn brave through the whole process. She wasn’t even crying when I came to see what was wrong right after it happened. I could tell her body had gone into some sort of shock because she got really tired and actually napped on the way to the hospital. The only time she cried was when they reset her bones and it only last a few minutes. She was in good spirits even before she got the loopy meds! She was commended by all the ER staff for her bravery and were so amazed at her good spirits with the kind of break she had.
This happened 12 days before we moved to Japan, which added a whole new level to moving. PCSing (moving) to Japan is NOT an easy task. Especially with military. We had to check in at midnight for our 6am flight, and only after getting to the airport to find out we had a 24 hour delay. We slept 5ish hours on the floor in the Seattle airport, because the USO CLOSES *insert mindblown emoji*. So sleeping already difficult, she somehow managed to sleep enough.
We make these videos for our family and for our kids. They ask all the time to watch our family videos and while I usually make a video of the good times, we always have bad times. We had so many videos of her being loopy and want to remember it instead of it slipping away to the labyrinth of photo and video storage land.
