I think you're doing just fine! I personally would've edited-down bits of talking (and finding the right moment on the sample) to make it snappier, but that's because I very intensively made home videos from 6-16 years old. To get that kind of "editing sense" for videos takes quite a bit of practice!

33:05 Okay the chop of the "cat got your tongue" part where you take the "youurrr" line and then chop it once 7 semitones and then just 3 semitones and then put them back to back so it sounds like the same vocal but descending is genius. Like the ability to think of chopping up that song and Weird Fishes is God's gift! Great work man
I would like to do the same as you; I would replace the samples from Face to Face with these (they're some of my favorite songs and from cult albums): Muse - Time is Running Out (Drum Sample) Fall Out Boy - Champagne For My Real Friends (Guitar Sample) Fall Out Boy - The (After) Life Of The Party (String Pluck) Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You (used in place of Sometimes a Love Goes Wrong) Fleetwood Mac - Gold Dust Woman (Guitar) King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid Man (Horns) The Killers - Smile Like You Mean It (Silence and I sample) Neutral Milk Hotel - Holland, 1945 (Old and Wise sample) The Flaming Lips - Fight Test (ELO Sample) Radiohead - Videotape (Piano Sample) My Bloody Valentine - Blown a Wish (eeeeeee) ZZ Top - La Grange (short riff sample, used in place of Deborah Washington - The Letter) King Crimson - Starless (chopped fiddle melody) Pink Floyd - Pigs (Descending Piano) Gigi D'Agostino - Lamour Toujours (Chopped synth) Phoenix - Lisztomania (two-note riff) Talking Heads - The Overload (Bass) The Notwist - Pick up the Phone (Flutes)
A sample video for Oneohtrix Point Never's Replica is definitely one I'm planning somewhere down the road, though not all of the samples have been found yet
btw this is the first time in a while that I've put my voice in something, I hope I don't sound too awkward or stutter too much 😅
You sound like Kermit bro I will be honest
No problems here, you have a good voice
You sound great. Not awkward at all.
First time watching your video from your voice. Great Breakdown. 👍
