Nigerians, be very proud of your singers for uplifting all African women of all skin complexions. I'm from the Congo, and unfortunately colorism is a real problem in my country. Musicians 99% of the time only make videos with very light skin women, and it somehow influences the way men perceive beauty. It is very sad. That's why I really like watching Nigerians song. Be proud of yourself Nigerians. With humility, thank God!

We were going through a rough patch in our relationship but he still found this song so fitting for me😭. I would not go a day without playing it back then and I always played it on high volume till tears rolled down my eyes! I'm a proud Nigerian woman; Yorùbá to be precise. we do traditional wedding which we call engagement, court and church wedding.....we have the reception, then the Thanksgiving on a separate day depending on your religion. it's beautiful and it's what makes us who we are. doing both doesn't make you void of your identity.
