Really enjoyed your video. I've been struggling for ages to make these purses and your method is really excellent with a beautiful neat result. Thank you so much.
Thank you for this tutorial! Just a friendly heads up for everyone, if you have problems with the metal frame cutting into and tearing your thread, be it clear thread or embroidery thread or regular thread, maybe give bow thread a try. It's a special, strong, waxed bow string that is used in the archery world. I ended up using this type of string because there were a couple of holes in my metal frame that were so sharp around the edges that they were cutting into my string, whatever I tried. I could still use a small needle - it just took a little more maneuvering to get the string through the hole, but it's doable. I'm sure with a plastic frame, this probably would not even be an issue. Peace and Love to all of you and thank you again for this tutorial.
Thank you so much. I was trying to crochet these purses but was having a difficult time. Your purse looks so much better. Just found you on U-tube because you do watercolors. Thank you for your generosity in sharing.
Fantastic. You just gave me that ahah moment when you tacked frame on first. I’ve been really struggling with sewing the frame on. Thank you so much for sharing this x
Thanks, I’m guessing you mean the finger tip knife? It’s from Fiskars. www.fiskars.com/en-us/crafting-and-sewing/products/craft-knives-and-blades/fingertip-detail-knife-loop-design-163050-1001
Ah, that would be this one? www.fiskars.eu/products/Creating/craft-knives/fingertip-craft-knife-1003738 It's the fiskars fingertip craft knife. It works well on paper and thin card.
Great turotial, nevertheless your voice could be a bit more projected and less soothing, because i got too realxed while trying to keep atention to all the wonderfull details :D also the pen at the beginig could be darker because i cant see the drawing at the beginig. Cheers from Chile and Congrats all over ;)

You are so welcome!
- TERRIFIC video & so far, your pattern making is the easiest to follow. The pleats give it dimension & added style. Thanx for sharing.

Like the idea of tacking on the bag to the frame, gives more control over the internal stitches.
I can't take credit for that one, several of the tutorials I checked when I was learning myself had that tip!
Whst a lovely video. I can’t wait to make this. Thank you for the very relaxing demo!
You are so welcome!
Just finished my first project based on this and your updated version! it came out great thanks to the details you provided
That’s wonderful :)

GREAT tutorial! Just what I️ was looking for! Thanks!
Feel more confident to have a go now thank you
Thanks! I hope your project goes well :)
Is there any way you would do a video going over in detail how you did the pattern?
great tutorial thanks. But would have liked a slower step by step of how the clasp is actually sewn on -back and front views
Thank you for the tutorial! Especially for explaining how to make a template.
Very helpful! Thanks! Now, have you ever done one with a double pocket frame? I have one here, but I'm not sure what to do with it.
I haven’t made one. I guess you’d make double the lining pieces I but would have to think carefully about how to construct it.
Wow nice! Good job!
That cutter you use so cute, what is that name?
Ayu Barokah it’s a rotary cutter
@@LouDavis not fabric cutter, you use with your finger to cut paper pattern

Where do you get the already frames from to compl9the bag?
Lavern Mowatt I ordered mine from eBay, search for ‘sew in purse frame’ and you should find lots of options.
@@LouDavis thank you
I found a good sized prym sew in frame on amazon it’s big enough to make a clutch bag
What size needle do you suggest to use? I have broken several being a newbie. Thank you for sharing- just lovely.
Excellent Video
I couldn't see the markings for the pattern.
I made an updated version of this tutorial that I hope will help. Link is in the description box.
I find it hard to see the ruler marks. It would have been nice if you would have written the cm on the pattern.
very helpful
