It's a complete drag. Destroys the pacing of the show. Nobody cares about the run times. Honestly we would be happy to see the popcorn classics axed from the show entirely.
Tim would NEVER try to benefit from his child's death, but all these Delgados see is dollar signs. Sick freaks promoting Gregg's backstabbing. Feel better tim
Gregg, I'm glad you're mostly keeping the same format. However, I hope you won't let Tim Burton off the hook for passing on Gnomeo and Juliet *and* for not properly answering your letters. We need to hold Tim Burton accountable.
This episode is a definite 5 bagger. Greggheads unite! We're so lucky the Delgado family talked turkey with Gregg & got the show back on track. I just hope Tim will keep his murderous rage / jealousy in check. We're all so lucky to get more than one Popcorn Classic each episode. Gregg's innate film buff wisdom really shined through. Excellent turn of events.
Gregg deniers won't say it, but Gregg has always been supportive of the show even though Tim has tried to humilate Gregg almost every time. And now when the tables are turned, what does Gregg do? He shows his true film-loving and generous spirit by keeping Tim as host and supporting him in yet another low point for Tim.. Honestly, he may be a bit too generous for his and the show's sake.
Greggheads come up! We've dealt with Tim's primadonna shenanigans for long enough, thank you Delgado Media Holdings for giving Gregg this golden goose of an opportunity, a beauty of a golden goose that will only lay classics on Oscar season.
I'm quite the Gregghead and i have some big reserverations about this. Any other season i would be gungho for Gregg to receive such a promotion, but the man has been acting incredibly unprofessional this season. Hopefully he can rise to the occasion and get his act together.
Ok, i didnt say gee whiz in my comment, that was just the dudes name i was replying to, thats a great idea for a name for that exact reason, im changing mine to "gee whiz bygolly darn tootn, if i say so myself, even though im a grade a doufas:"
He showed a lot of maturity here, very proud of Tim. The mans been through a lot, and quite frankly is lucky to be alive. It’s as if he’s defeated his great demons and graduated from his grey robes to white robes.
One little interesting thing I noticed about this episode is that Gregg's 13 Hours shirt is a subtle nod to one of the greater action-thrillers or all time, 13 Hours directed by one of the all time cinema greats: Michael Bay
This is good for movie-heads all over. I'd give this transition 5 bags of popcorn...and I'll throw in a sigh of relief for having more popcorn classics!
One thing I absolutely love about Greg is how he actually proves that he is a movie buff....like when he says breaking away is from 1979 he just rattles it off and its nbd....but when you look it up. Boom. 1979. Truly a master of his craft.
Greg is going to run this show into the ground, Tim has always know what was best for On Cinema and that hasn't changed. The Delgados will also get what's coming for them for using their dead son as an excuse to make hostile business takeovers. SHAME!!!
With all due respect, Tim (although not convicted) was responsible for the death of several victims at that tragic music festival, AND he had a hand in the death of his own son, Tom Cruise Jr. A person like Tim should be behind bars, and simply should never be at the helm of such an important and critical show. Gregg will be fantastic as host as he shows full commitment to his viewers.
Sif the Shapeless Greg is piggybacking off the success of Tim again, this time with a multi-trillion dollar business choking Tim's genitals. This episode was terrible and I won't be surprised if the Delgados decide to covertly assassinate Greg for the piss poor performance he's doing
If everything goes according to Greggs plan we will have five five-baggers next episode which will set a new record for the On Cinema-franchise! Gregg and the Delgados are taking us back to the Golden Years of On Cinema!! If only Mark was here to witness it... #prayForMark
I cannot upvote anything where those slimy Delgado’s are involved. Poor Tim being dragged through the muck like this. I wonder if Greg keeps his VCR clean.
Alex Tale gregg really has no shame in doing this to a lomg time partner and friend... almost like a brother, tim has protected him and gave him an opportunity to advance his film buff career, and this is how he responds? Shameless
It's a brilliant concept and Gregg previously did a great job with it. But now it feels so passionless, and gregg especially seems so disinterested, like he's just doing it to piss off Tim. I dont know if he would do such a thing, but that is how it comes across. I mean holy shit he didnt know ANYTHING about the popcorn classic in this episode, had to search all over the box and tape to find out the fucking run time, as if that matters for anything. Dissapointed gregghead here, the fuck is going on???
I can tell that Tim's good behavior is inauthentic - he obviously compulsively acts out and only cares about himself, which, when you think of it that way, makes so clear why he's had so many problems with On Cinema over the years. But even so, a Tim that's been made to behave is better than nothing, so I'll accept it even though I'd like to see Tim truly reformed, accept that he's done so much to negatively affect On Cinema, Gregg, and Mark; and he would really turn a corner if he would just forget about Dekkar, DKR, and any future musical endeavors on On Cinema, a MOVIE review show.
At a turbulent time it is good for Gregg to remind Tim that nothing has changed, and they're co-hosts just like they have been for years, since day one, for the entirety of the series
This is the greatest web series that has so many layers. I cant believe how deep of a rabbit hole all these new episodes go. This is insane and amazing LOL
On this Tuesday (3 days) I find out if I will spend 4 years in prison for a stupid stupid mistake I made a few years back. Happy I could watch and enjoy these.. even if I’m late to the party. Love you, On Cinema family.
I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving him that title, next thing you know he’ll be getting too comfortable and want more creative control, something that Tim has done great with. He’ll always be a guest in my eyes.
BlackInkGames I'm with you, I just watched the new episode over on Adult Swim. Gregg has taken complete control of the show, and in doing so ruined a beautiful work of art. Gregg is out of his league
John Goodman is a Good Man but Not a Good Brother. White Female remake of Good Burger, Fur Burger, starring Tina Fey and Amy Shumpert. I LOVE this episode...Tim has experienced absolute powerlessness, you can see his face when Gregg says there's two popcorn classics and he can't say anything about it...fucking hilarious.
So nice to see Gregg taking On Cinema back to its roots, putting focus back on the #movies . Tim seems to be very bottled up and beat lately though, I hope he can find an outlet for all these stresses. Maybe his new popcorn classic segment will help.
I have all the respect in the world for Tim as a movie critic. I do disagree with his take that running times aren't important. If I only have 98 minutes free to watch a Popcorn Classic, then I can't watch the Popcorn Classic "Dangerous Minds" which clocks in at 99 minutes.
For those following Greg's tape filing system, here are the two, yes, two, Popcorn Classics reference numbers reviewed in this episode: 7:57 M59U3246 M is the first letter of the movie's title 5 is the 5 bags of popcorn rating 9 is the decade of the movie's release (90s for 1999) U is the first letter of the director's second name (Kinka Usher) 32 is the shelf number in the Victorville Film Archives 46 is the number of the tape on the shelf 8:20 E59S???? Greg's fingers covered the numbers ?? - unknown. Again, Greg's fingers obscured the numbers This comment was not sponsored by the DMH (Delgado Media Holdings)
Politics of the Delgado acquisition aside, Greg makes a great point about John Belushi being a true Blues Brother...unlike John Goodman (bad, disaster)!
It's honestly kind of pathetic how Gregg weasels his way into a co-host spot and shows absolutely no grace to Tim - who he would be nothing without! Don't get me wrong, Gregg is a great guest but rushing him up the ladder when he hasn't really put the time in is disrespectful to the fans and most of all to Tim, who as usual showed a lot of humility under such a ridiculous situation.
Jake Richardson F you traitor the delgados are slimy anti free speech that probably are working with that slimy rosetti. I call him the rat risetti or rosetti the rat because he is kinda like a rat
I know it's not very to cool to be kind of meta about it but honestly this episode is what really got me thinking about the fucking masterful characterisation in this series. Tim's restrained contempt and Gregg's kind of oblivious passive-aggression is amazing to watch.
The beginning of the slowly encroaching takeover of Greg and DMH. You can see the portent in Greg's face when Tim fumbles with reading the film synopsis of 'Life of the Party'
The Delgados are diabolical. One of the main reasons I watch this show is for Tim's brilliant medical advice and excellent musical content. I think it's a travesty that Gregg's dirty little hands will hold a grasp over a show that has been perfected for almost ten seasons now. And what the fuck has happened to Axiom and Manuel? They were so cool. This is shameful.
something tells me the delgados knew that having Gregg run on cinema was the worst punishment tim could ever receive
Only a matter of time until there's an Oh, God! segment
Dwyer knew Tim’s weaknesses and sold wholesale to the delgados
Excellent comment and point.
Their son suggested it from Catholic hell
if this show gets cancelled i will NEVER see a movie again

How the hell would you even know what to see?
In Coronaworld that’s a rather idle threat.
“A hundred and....a hundred and......two. A hundred and two minutes.” Gregg had me on the edge of my seat there. Love the new show format.

Tim's strained expression as he slowly loses control over the last piece of IP he has left is priceless.
he seems a bit miffed
that subtle look of sad resignation from Tim at 7:30 is why I watch this series. Its only half a second, but its perfect. just perfect.
"Breaking In" is one of my favorite "be careful what you wish for" type movies. This kind of insight is why I trust the On Cinema family.
When Gregg said he's always been co-host I lost it. Tim is dying inside here
I love how Gregg has his own form of narcissism the second he gets the chance. These characters are deep, son.
Two popcorn classics?!! Am I dreaming?
No it's a nightmare.
Yeah, you’re dreaming alright buddy... a freaking nightmare!! Good thing we have Tim.

One of my favorite bits in the series is Gregg’s assumption that any movie title that sounds similar to another must be it’s sequel
He also can’t accept the fact that sometimes there’s multiple movies over time with the same title. He almost seems Asperger’s etc

Mine too. My vr headset must be on the fritz.Darn.
VR only required a team of one! Max! Now the production is hindered by the 15-20 crew doing nothing of use. The delgado's really screwed us all!
Can't believe I dropped $300 on this headset for nothing.
Gregg, I'm glad you're mostly keeping the same format. However, I hope you won't let Tim Burton off the hook for passing on Gnomeo and Juliet *and* for not properly answering your letters. We need to hold Tim Burton accountable.
It's been ten years and I still laugh every time they give a movie five bags of popcorn.
If they ever start giving any other amount of bags of popcorn, I swear it's GLOBAL RIOTS!!!
except for some movies with mainly women which tim will give four bags for not having men
Huh. Why is that funny? These are all great movies.
I really enjoyed "Five bags of popcorn and...1700 cups of soda."
except for Ant-Man, that was a big miss@@Jb-du5xt

God he looked like he was going to cry when they were about to do the Popcorn Classics.
Gregg has sucked up Tim's life energy like a vampire. It's Decker vs. Dracula.
Darker than the last season of Breaking Bad
Tim took that news like a champ!!!
He did take it very well. I would bet my entire VHS collection that Tim is on some very strong medication. He seems so calm and relaxed, aloof even.
I think it's time for the Greggheads here to quiet down, we all know that Tim is the heart and soul of this production.

He showed a lot of maturity here, very proud of Tim. The mans been through a lot, and quite frankly is lucky to be alive. It’s as if he’s defeated his great demons and graduated from his grey robes to white robes.
Mystery Men is actually an incredibly underrated popcorn classic, keep up the good work Tim! You'll be back on top soon enough!
Just like that Gregg drops the "Sherlock Gnomes" controversy.
Get back on the case! Perhaps he dropped it because the original Sherlock Holmes was on cocaine, and he doesn't want to trigger a relapse in Tim.
One little interesting thing I noticed about this episode is that Gregg's 13 Hours shirt is a subtle nod to one of the greater action-thrillers or all time, 13 Hours directed by one of the all time cinema greats: Michael Bay
